A major segment featuring Cody Rhodes has been announced for tonight's WWE SmackDown. The American Nightmare will be competing in a marquee match next month at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.

Rhodes teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa earlier this month at Bad Blood. After the premium live event, Kevin Owens attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion next to his tour bus in the parking lot. The Prizefighter and The American Nightmare had another altercation this past Friday on SmackDown, but Randy Orton intervened.

Kevin Owens reacted by attacking Orton backstage until it was broken up by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and WWE security. The promotion has announced that Rhodes will be appearing tonight on SmackDown following his altercation with Owens last week, and he will be addressing his upcoming match against Gunther tonight on the blue brand.

WWE legend suggests Cody Rhodes should turn heel

Hall of Famer Rikishi recently suggested that Cody Rhodes should turn heel on WWE television.

Rikishi is the father of The Usos and Solo Sikoa in real life. Speaking on his Off The Top podcast, the real-life Bloodline member claimed Cody Rhodes; character was easy to hate. The 59-year-old rated Rhodes' title reign as a six out of ten so far and suggested that he would be more successful as a heel.

"Cody's a great worker, but for me, I just feel he can be a better heel. He's that guy with a suave look, and he's a white boy. Come on. He's got the suits on. It's almost like a Million Dollar Man type of vibe, a new era Million Dollar Man, just that heat seeker, you know, 'When I tell you to do something, do it. Here's your tip right here.' Throw him 50 cents or something. You know, that type because it's so easy when you look at it, for me, it's so easy to hate him," said Rikishi.
