CM Punk is one of the biggest stars on WWE RAW. The Second City Saint is set to make history alongside some of the biggest names in the company in the coming weeks.

NXT Champion Ethan Page is all ego ahead of his match against Trick Williams on the CW Network premiere of the show. CM Punk will be present in Chicago for the match, where he will take on the duties of being the special guest referee.

On-screen, Page was livid with Punk and expected him to favor him in the contest on the latest edition of NXT. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the current WWE champion stated that he was excited to work with The Straight Edge Superstar on the upcoming show.

"Honestly, for me, CM Punk brings so much to the table," Page said. "Where I was [in AEW] and where I am [in NXT], I've seen both sides of it. I can't argue the fact that the guy moves numbers, that people care what he has to say, people care what he's doing, where he's at, and the fact that he's where I'm at and we're going to be in his hometown in Chicago, first episode, big arena. Place is going to be packed. It's massive. I don't take [it] for granted."

Ethan Page added that all the superstars involved in NXT will make history with the CW Network debut alongside CM Punk. It will be a big moment for him and everyone involved.

"I'm happy that I got to hold my own. It doesn't discredit my respect for who he is," Page said. "I understand that it's very big that he has been involved in this episode, this match, and the night that we make history, October 1st. So, very big, very, very, very big." (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

Ethan Page could retain the title after a good contest against Trick Williams. That could free the latter to move to the main roster soon.

CM Punk will face Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been feuding for nearly the entire year. However, the two men have only competed in a couple of matches, with both winning one apiece.

The rivalry could come to an end soon when The Second City Saint and The Scottish Warrior collide inside Hell in a Cell. The match could end up being the most brutal contest on the WWE Bad Blood card.

This is CM Punk’s first major rivalry since his return to WWE. He could come out on top to continue his great run on the RAW brand ahead of the brand’s move to Netflix. WWE fans could see him face Seth Rollins in another top rivalry next year.
