CM Punk made an announcement that was a long time coming on Monday Night RAW. More specifically, it was nearly seven months in the making. This was followed up by a blockbuster segment.

This week on RAW, both CM Punk and Drew McIntyre were in the same building, which meant that chaos was all but guaranteed. Surprisingly, no actual chaos ensued as Punk and McIntyre were kept away from each other - at a close enough distance as well.

This week, CM Punk made the announcement fans have been waiting for since his injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble. He has officially been medically cleared. Adam Pearce added that if either he or McIntyre so much as laid a finger on each other until SummerSlam, they would be suspended.

Before this, Punk was ready to get his hands on Drew McIntyre and finish him once and for all. Drew McIntyre even came out but was surprisingly calm in his demeanor. After a little bit of provocation and Punk charging at him, security was quick in their numbers to prevent Punk from doing any damage.

Adam Pearce would then come out and reveal the reason why McIntyre was in such a provocative mood. The Summerslam blockbuster match between Punk and Drew McIntyre was official.

The two men are finally set to go head-to-head in a dream match.
