CM Punk has landed a non-wrestling role during his time away from WWE. He has been cast in a new horror thriller movie.

The Second City Saint has appeared in multiple TV shows and movies over the years. He made his acting debut in the 2019 horror film Girl on the Third Floor before returning to the wrestling business in 2021. He recently collided with Drew McIntyre in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood 2024 and is expected to be off WWE TV for some time.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CM Punk is starring in an indie horror feature called Night Patrol, which is directed by Ryan Prows. He has been cast alongside Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, and Dermot Mulroney. This film is set to be released in 2025. The synopsis reads:

"An LAPD officer (Fowler) must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in."

Jim Cornette on what WWE should do with CM Punk and Drew McIntyre after iconic Hell in a Cell match

CM Punk and Drew McIntyre ended their rivalry with a bang at WWE Bad Blood 2024. They went to war and put on a spectacle for fans.

While speaking on his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Jim Cornette shared his thoughts on what should happen with Punk and McIntyre next and stated that it would not hurt if they went away for some time.

"I don't honestly know that you can do anything else with them, with each other right now. And it wouldn't hurt for one, or maybe both, to be off, selling the injuries for a while. (...) If one of them is off for a few weeks so that the other one could get involved in another thing with another person, and then that person comes back later on and gets involved with somebody else, it's not as obvious a split, right, 'cause they still hate each other," Jim Cornette said.

Drew McIntyre also landed an acting role this year, as he was featured in the movie The Killer's Game with former WWE Superstar Batista.
