Big E may not be medically cleared to compete in the ring again, but that doesn't mean he cannot get involved in the ongoing storylines. Meanwhile, WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently discussed an interesting pitch for The New Day at WrestleMania 41.

Big E suffered a broken neck during a match on the March 11, 2022, edition of SmackDown. Since then, he has been advised by the doctors to never wrestle again given the nature of the injury.

The 285-pound wrestler recently revealed that he would get the next round of neck scans in the next few months to see if he could get back in the ring. Amidst his absence, cracks have started to form between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, leaving fans pondering about The New Day potentially breaking up.

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts was asked by a fan about the possibility of Kofi Kingston facing Xavier Woods in a singles match at WrestleMania 41, with Big E as the special guest referee. The analyst said, "It's possible!"

"It's possible. I mean, I see it going another way; I would like for it to go the other way, but I would agree. I mean, the slow burn on The New Day thing is incredibly, incredibly compelling," Roberts said. [1:16:59-1:17:09]

Big E tipped to return to WWE RAW sooner than expected

With The New Day's 10th anniversary right around the corner, Sam Roberts claimed that the Triple H-led creative team could insert Big E into the mix.

The wrestling analyst said the former WWE Champion could help Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods reconcile.

"Just as we're ready to jump off the cliff; just as we're ready for The New Day to pass the point of no return and to break up, something happens. At some point in this story, Big E does need to come back on TV and have a sit-down, even if he can't wrestle, have a sit-down with the two of them, and try to get them back on the same page," he said.

After picking up a controversial win over Rey Mysterio this past Monday, Woods will challenge Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship on RAW next week. It will be interesting to see if Kingston gets involved in the match.
