Bayley's Women's Championship reign in 2024 was a long time coming for the faithful WWE all-timer. But her title defenses have been fewer than expected, and not many of them have truly stood out. This is where Nia Jax comes into the equation.

After etching her name in the history books as the 2024 Queen of the Ring, The Irresistible Force will stand opposite Bayley as a formidable challenger on August 3 at Cleveland Browns Stadium. For The Role Model, that was not all.

Ahead of SummerSlam, she flew to Japan for WWE's tour of the country. While in Tokyo, Japanese legend Meiko Satomura gave Bayley a run for her money, challenging the latter for SmackDown's top prize. Taking to X after a successful defense, here's how she reacted to the full match being uploaded online:

"Ask and you shall receive! I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did," Bayley wrote.

This was Meiko Satomura's first match for WWE in over a year. She had previously performed on NXT.

Nia Jax is not the only problem coming Bayley's way at WWE SummerSlam

Although an obvious trope WWE creative goes for every year, it still is an effective one. Bayley's Women's Title is in jeopardy not only because of The Irresistible Force's challenge, but also because there is a new Ms. Money in the Bank, and she is contracted to SmackDown.

Tiffany Stratton stole the moment inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada last month when she pushed fan-favorite Chelsea Green off the top of the ladder and onto two tables outside the ring. She subsequently retrieved the briefcase, which guarantees her a future world title opportunity.

Stratton confronted The Role Model ahead of SummerSlam, and some degree of tension was also teased between her and Nia Jax, who is showing a soft spot for the 25-year-old. But with the Women's Championship up for grabs, it is only a matter of time before their friendship implodes.

Bayley already retained her belt against Tiffany Stratton in May at Backlash. This bout also featured Naomi, who is a real-life member of The Bloodline, alongside Nia Jax. The 2024 Queen of the Ring recently opened up about the Anoa'i family's domination in WWE and the potential of having female wrestlers in The Bloodline.

At SummerSlam on August 3, Nia Jax and Solo Sikoa will challenge for the top championships in World Wrestling Entertainment, going up against Bayley and Cody Rhodes, respectively.
