At Clash at the Castle: Scotland, AJ Styles lost to Cody Rhodes in an "I Quit" Match. The Phenomenal One hasn't appeared on WWE television since his defeat in Scotland. However, he was recently spotted alongside TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace.

Styles is currently on his way to Japan as he prepares to return to the Land of the Rising Sun. On July 13th, 2024, at NOAH Destination, the former WWE Champion will face Naomichi Marufuji.

On Twitter (X), Grace, who is also on her way to Tokyo, shared a photo with Styles after running into him at an airport.

"My trip to Tokyo has been made, and the plane hasn’t even left the ground," Grace wrote.

AJ Styles opened up about his eventual retirement plans

The Phenomenal One recently admitted that time was running out on his legendary career.

Speaking in an interview with WrestleManiac UK, Styles stated that he doesn't have much time left as a professional wrestler. He also opened up about his mind and body arguing over the two.

"You know, my brain's going, 'We don't have a lot of time,' and my body's going, 'We can go! No, we can't!' It's an argument between my body and my brain on how much longer we can go. I can tell you it won't go much longer; time's running out really quick," he said.

Earlier this year, AJ Styles unsuccessfully challenged Cody Rhodes twice for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The Phenomenal One initially failed to win the title at Backlash France.

Several weeks later, he faked his retirement on an episode of SmackDown before losing the rematch to The American Nightmare in Scotland. It remains to be seen when AJ Styles will return to WWE and if he plans on competing in more than one match in Pro Wrestling NOAH.
