On this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, a female WWE Superstar clinched a decisive victory, earning a championship match at Bad Blood 2024. The name in question is Bayley, who shared a one-word message about her journey to securing the title shot.

The Role Model is a two-time WWE Women's Champion, a two-time SmackDown Women's Champion, a two-time Women's Tag Team Champion, and a one-time NXT Women's Champion.

The September 27, 2024, episode of SmackDown featured a number one contender's match between real-life friends Bayley and Naomi. Following a thrilling bout, the 35-year-old defeated The Glow to earn a shot at Nia Jax's WWE Women's Championship at the Bad Blood PLE in Atlanta on October 5.

Notably, Bayley dropped the title to The Irresistible Force at The Biggest Party of The Summer in August 2024. The Role Model took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a series of pictures from her journey, which began at SummerSlam and culminated in her victory over Naomi on SmackDown. She accompanied the photos with a one-word message.

"Moments!" she wrote.

WWE veteran reveals why fans are not interested in Bayley's championship opportunity

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo commented on the number one contender's match between The Role Model and The Glow on last night's SmackDown.

Speaking on this week's BroDown, the 63-year-old criticized the WWE creative team for failing to book an ideal build-up to the Bayley vs. Naomi encounter. Russo argued that the lack of compelling storylines and character development made it difficult for fans to care about the outcome.

"The girls worked really, really hard. But let's be honest, why did we care if either one of these girls won or lost? Why do I want Bayley to win? Why do I want Naomi to win? I don't care who wins this match, and that's a problem. You gotta get me invested in your show; you gotta get me invested in your match; you gotta get me invested in your performers. I'm sitting here not caring who wins this match. So I am not invested," Russo said.
