Randy Orton is once again part of WWE RAW, but whether he officially joins the roster bears watching. Orton and Gunther will switch brands if the World Heavyweight Championship changes hands at Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Meanwhile, a member of the flagship show recently recounted a story from a few years ago during a European Tour. The man in question is Chad Gable. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Gable discussed his ongoing program on WWE RAW with Bo Dallas and the Wyatt Sicks.

He revealed that it is special to him especially because Bo's late brother Bray Wyatt and the latter's then tag team partner, Randy Orton, requested to work with him and Jason Jordan, who were together dubbed American Alpha at the time. Wyatt had recruited Orton into The Wyatt Family and the duo won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship before dropping it to American Alpha:

"We were on a European Tour, my first ever, and he [Bray Wyatt] was with Randy at the time, and we were over there, me and Jason Jordan as American Alpha, we were doing some other match I don't even know what it was, but then they watched us work like, the first night, and requested to work with us like the rest of the tour. So the whole card got flipped around," Gable recalled. [From 14:02 to 14:22]

Chad Gable later worked with Randy Orton again in 2022 during the RK-Bro run. By that point, Gable was tagging alongside Otis. Once again, he won the tag team title from Orton.

Chad Gable often reaches out to the 14-time WWE World Champion for advice

During an interview with TVInsider in February, Chad Gable revealed he often goes to Randy Orton for advice.

Gable pointed to how The Legend Killer has a wealth of experience owing to his 22-year run in World Wrestling Entertainment. He stated that the veteran always gives him answers honestly and it resonates with him:

"I would say, Randy Orton. I don’t try to bother people too much with questions, especially when you know the answer to questions you may ask. But there are a few things I’ve struggled with during my time here, and Randy has been a guy I ask to get actual thoughts and feedback from. He has been through it all and knows pretty much anything. I’ve always reached out to him. He gives me the answers that resonate and are truthful."

It remains to be seen where things go from here for Chad Gable on WWE RAW, who seems to be reinvigorated coming off of notable feuds with Gunther and Sami Zayn. He has also formed a new faction of four dubbed American Made.
