A 34-year-old WWE Superstar recently lost a big title match. Notably, he had been chasing after the championship for a very long time and was also a previous holder of the belt he fought for. The name in question is Montez Ford.

The Street Profits member faced off against #DIY and The Bloodline for the WWE Tag Team Championship last week on SmackDown. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa defended their titles in a high-voltage ladder match despite being the enemies of both rival teams. But, while the Tongans ended the night on a high, the situation was the opposite for Montez Ford.

Following the loss, he took to Instagram and shared an image from the match. He also sent a message to the WWE Universe in the caption where he seemed to have made peace with the bitter loss on the blue brand.

“Always remember In life, you won’t win them all. Thats life. But whether win or lose, No matter what… ALWAYS BE IN YOUR BAG! God Bless you all. - Tez”

Notably, Montez Ford was very confident about winning the Tag Team titles alongside Angelo Dawkins and had made a positive post ahead of the bout. Thus, while the loss must definitely have stung him, his words after the match’s bitter conclusion suggest he still has his positive spirit.

Bianca Belair believes Montez Ford is ready for a singles run in WWE

Montez Ford has won the Tag Team Championships across NXT, RAW, and SmackDown. Thus, he is one of the rare Triple Crown Tag Team Champions in the company. However, his wife, Bianca Belair, believes that Ford is ready for a singles run and is in favor of him moving out of the tag team division.

Speaking about this on the Masked Man Show, the EST of WWE noted that her husband is very conflicted about quitting tag team wrestling.

"He's ready. He loves being in a tag team. Dawks is like his brother, and sometimes he goes back and forth. He's ready, and then he feels guilty because he's like, 'That's my brother. I should want to do as much as I can in a tag team.' All that man needs is an opportunity, and he will skyrocket. I can’t wait to be there to support him the same way he’s been there for me. It’s crazy, though, [how] he downplays himself so much sometimes. I have to remind him, 'You are a Triple Crown Champion,'" she said. [H/T: Ringside News]

Notably, Bianca Belair has currently taken a break from her singles run and is the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Jade Cargill. It will be interesting to see if the message from Ford following his loss was a precursor to his long-awaited singles career.
