WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world.

This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown was filled with surprises. The blue brand has found its new General Manager in Nick Aldis. Kevin Owens got traded for Jey Uso. Roman Reigns finally got physical with his rumored Crown Jewel opponent, LA Knight.

Speaking of Nick Aldis, the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion’s arrival on SmackDown was celebrated by his wife, Mickie James, on Twitter. It is possible that she could return to WWE after 622 days to unite with her husband.

The former Women’s Champion last appeared in the sports entertainment juggernaut in 2022. Mickie was a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match with the IMPACT Knockouts World Championship around her waist.

Mickie had a storied career in the Stamford-based promotion, where she feuded with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, and Melina, to name a few. She also took on Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax during her final days as a full-time competitor in Vince McMahon's promotion.

What happened after Nick Aldis showed up on WWE SmackDown?

Triple H introduced Nick Aldis to the blue brand as its new General Manager. The Game promoted Adam Pearce to the GM of RAW. Aldis told Pearce he hoped to see healthy competition from his RAW counterpart.

One of the first things Aldis did in his new role as GM was bring Kevin Owens to WWE SmackDown in exchange for Jey Uso. The Prizefighter arrived in the ring and immediately took out NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio with a stunner.

Backstage, Aldis had a segment with Charlotte Flair. He told the Queen he saw what happened during the Women’s Championship match at Fastlane 2022. He then booked Flair in a title match against IYO SKY for next week’s SmackDown.
