WWE Friday Night SmackDown is set to air tonight. The show will be taking place live from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. According to WrestleTix, tonight's episode will feature well over 12,000 fans in attendance and that's based on a week-old ticket count, meaning the number may be even higher.

This show is notable for a few reasons. This will be the second edition of Friday Night SmackDown since the program left the FOX network and returned to USA. There will also be a big United States Championship bout and a women's tag team match with major implications.

Beyond those matches, not a lot has been officially confirmed for the show, but many expect Chelsea Green vs. Michin in a Dumpster Match following The SmackDown LowDown and a rematch between Apollo Crews and Giovanni Vinci, but neither match has been made official.

While much of the show is still a mystery, Triple H and Nick Aldis may offer some big last-minute twists to really make it a memorable episode. This article will take a look at a handful of possible twists that might happen tonight.

Below are four last-minute twists that are possible on WWE SmackDown.

#4. Tiffany Stratton could cash in mid-match

A major tag team match has been announced for WWE SmackDown tonight. WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax will team up with her alleged friend Tiffany Stratton to take on Bayley and Naomi.

The match has two major stipulations. If Bayley or Naomi manage to win, whoever gets the victory for their team will earn a world title shot. Unfortunately, there is a less happy stipulation. If either Naomi or Bayley end up being pinned, whichever star loses the match will be forced to leave SmackDown.

In what could be an interesting twist, Tiffany Stratton could cause neither stipulation to happen. She could cash in her Money in the Bank contract mid-match, thus changing the bout into a title match and immediately pinning her partner for the victory. Nobody has ever cashed in while teaming up with someone, so it would be a major moment.

#3. Andrade could turn heel to defeat LA Knight on WWE SmackDown

LA Knight is the reigning WWE United States Champion. The Megastar won the prized title by defeating Logan Paul at SummerSlam. He has since successfully defended the gold against both Santos Escobar and Ludwig Kaiser.

The Megastar has a big match ahead of him on WWE SmackDown. He will be putting his title on the line against Andrade. El Idolo earned the title opportunity by defeating Carmelo Hayes in their fifth and presumably final match together.

While both men are going in as popular figures, there is a chance that Andrade could shock the world by turning heel to win the title. If he cheats and wins the United States Championship, it would shake up SmackDown moving forward. Perhaps a low blow would do the trick?

#2. Roman Reigns could reveal he's with The Bloodline and attack Cody Rhodes

When it comes to tag team matches, the biggest one imaginable has been booked for WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta next month. The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu threw out a major challenge and it has been accepted.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, long-time rivals, are set to unite and take on The Bloodline at the big show. Rhodes and Reigns may hate each other, but in theory, the two working together could be magic. Unfortunately, things could go awry.

Instead of Roman actually wanting to work with Cody, it could be a setup that pays off on SmackDown. Roman and Cody could stand off with The Bloodline when suddenly Reigns, Solo, Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa all unite to destroy Rhodes. It could then be revealed that Reigns is back in The Bloodline.

#1. The Unholy Union could appear and reveal they moved from RAW to be with Blair Davenport

The Unholy Union is one of the best women's tag teams in wrestling at the moment. The duo is comprised of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, indie veterans from Scotland who joined WWE through NXT UK and then became a tag team on NXT before joining the main roster.

Recently, Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre were the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. While holding the belts, the RAW stars were able to appear on SmackDown and they quickly made friends with Blair Davenport. Unfortunately, they lost the belts, which separated them from their new friend.

In what would be a fun shocker, The Unholy Union could appear on SmackDown and reveal they've jumped from the red brand to the blue brand. This could allow them to unite with Blair full-time and it gives Nick Aldis one up over Adam Pearce for their ongoing rivalry.
