John Cena's 2025 WWE retirement tour draws closer by the day. The sixteen-time world champion dropped a bombshell on the audience at Money In The Bank 2024 by announcing his plan to hang up his boots at the end of 2025, and speculation has been rife ever since. With his first appearance likely to be on RAW's Netflix debut, the time is almost nigh to begin saying goodbye to The Franchise Player.
As The Cenation Leader rides off into the sunset, there are a number of both new stars and old rivals fans are desperate to see him interact with. Among his biggest rivals, of course, is The Bloodline, with Cena having battled members of the Anoa'i dynasty for over twenty years, going from Rikishi in 2002 to The Rock in 2012 to Solo Sikoa in 2023.

#4: John Cena teams up with Roman Reigns on his WWE retirement tour
John Cena and Roman Reigns share a history in WWE that goes back more than a decade. Reigns debuted on the main roster by interfering in a Cena match at Survivor Series 2012, after which The Shield fought many battles with The Champ. When The Big Dog went solo, he had a number of team-ups and run-ins with the legend until they finally feuded one-on-one in 2017, with the former winning.
They would meet again in 2021 with Reigns prevailing once again in that year's Summerslam to cement his reign (no pun intended). The duo have interacted in every way imaginable during their overlapping times, with Cena passing the torch to The Tribal Chief to keep business thriving.
It's only fitting that, with The OTC now finally a beloved babyface, they team up one final time, perhaps against a common enemy like Solo Sikoa's new Bloodline.
#3: John Cena puts over Jacob Fatu
Ever since John Cena took a backseat from the WWE main event scene, he has been big on paying forward his equity to the new generation. The 16-time world champion has "put over" many superstars ranging from AJ Styles and Finn Balor to Austin Theory and The Bloodline's own Solo Sikoa. This has yielded mixed results, with some of these superstars benefitting more than others.
One current rising star who would most likely benefit from a win over the 16-time world champion would be Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf has all the makings of a top star for the next decade in the company, and Triple H has not been shy in trusting him to perform across from bonafide legends like Randy Orton.
Just like Cena put over Sikoa to end his brief 2023 run, he could do the favor for Fatu in 2025, maybe even allowing the former MLW champion to retire him.
#2: John Cena could get revenge on Solo Sikoa for his WWE Crown Jewel 2023 loss
John Cena's last WWE run ended in a brutal loss to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel 2023. The Cenation Leader was defeated decisively by the future Tribal Chief, finding himself on the receiving end of several Samoan Spikes. The former Enforcer floundered for a while after that but has now found his stride as the usurper chief of The Bloodline.
Given how much heat Sikoa generates in his current role, fans would absolutely love to see Cena get his win back. Not only would it be a popular booking decision, but it would re-establish The Champ as a force to be reckoned with and set up an eventual match with Jacob Fatu where the Samoan Werewolf would take revenge for his Tribal Chief.
We predict that Cena will defeat Sikoa early in his run and then do the favors for Fatu towards the end.

John Cena and The Rock are arguably the two biggest mainstream stars to come out of WWE. The duo share a long, storied history dating back to WrestleMania 27 which has been revisited as recently as WrestleMania XL. Whenever they are around at the same time, they always seem to interact, transporting millions back to their WrestleMania 28 and 29 matches.
It's safe to assume that the two megastars will not be having a match on Cena's retirement tour, with both men's limited dates saved for elevating future talent. However, one can easily see them having at least one more promo or backstage segment, especially with The Great One currently being a heel.
The Final Boss could take issue with The Champ for interfering in the main event of WrestleMania XL. Meanwhile, The Franchise Player could confront The Brahma Bull in defense of Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, or even Jey Uso. There's a good possibility that fans shall see this, potentially as early as RAW's debut episode on Netflix!
