WWE has numerous stables that are currently on different levels of being pushed. The likes of The Bloodline and The Judgment Day have been on top of the company for a while. At the same time, some groups are still trying to find their footing.

One of the longest-tenured groups in the history of the promotion is The New Day. The stable, which was originally formed by Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston has been trying to find its footing in recent years following E's unfortunate neck injury.

Recently, Kingston and Woods have been feuding with The Final Testament, a stable led by Karrion Kross. The duo teamed up with the powerful Odyssey Jones on RAW last night and finally defeated the dangerous faction, potentially ending their ongoing rivalry.

If their feud is indeed over, what will come next for the duo of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston? This article will take a look at a handful of possible directions for The New Day, including the inclusion of a new member, chasing gold, and more.

Below are four directions for The New Day after WWE RAW.

#4. Odyssey Jones could officially become a member

As noted, Odyssey Jones teamed up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on WWE Monday Night RAW. As a trio, the three managed to defeat Karrion Kross, Akam, and Rezar, collectively known as The Final Testament.

This union is one that fans never expected even as recently as a month ago. Odyssey came out and saved Woods and Kingston from a beatdown during the post-SummerSlam edition of WWE RAW. It was later revealed that Kingston and Jones had formed a bond training at the Performance Center.

During RAW last night, Kofi noted how he's trying to help Odyssey in ways that he and Woods wish people would've helped them earlier in their careers. That is potentially a sign that Jones will soon be joining The New Day. He could become an official member, which will thus make the stable a trio again.

#3. They could split up due to recent tension on WWE programming

Odyssey Jones has been a major help for The New Day. He has saved them from The Final Testament and he helped Kofi Kingston get ready at the WWE Performance Center following an injury. It is clear that the two have developed quite the bond.

Xavier Woods, on the other hand, has yet to form that same bond with Jones. When he first started showing up to WWE RAW, Woods seemed confused and maybe even annoyed by his presence. On RAW last night, Xavier mentioned frustration over Kofi not talking to him about Jones arriving ahead of time.

While the two seemed to be on the same page in the end, there may be some tension underneath the surface that could lead to the two going their separate ways. This is common in bands and teams. An amicable split could allow both of the former champions to pursue their own goals: Xavier wanting a singles title and Kofi teaming up with Odyssey.

#2. Xavier Woods could shockingly turn heel and join The Final Testament

While it is nice to consider a break-up being amicable and both men simply being mature and friendly, but chasing their own goals, that isn't how things typically work in WWE. Instead, like any good soap opera, there is deceit, betrayal, and pain.

In this particular instance, all of that could come to fruition if Xavier Woods betrays Kofi Kingston and attacks his long-time friend. He could then do what many WWE fans would have believed was impossible: join The Final Testament.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett have been trying to get into Xavier's head for quite some time now. With Odyssey arriving and Woods feeling more and more bitter, their mission could be complete and he could leave his old family behind in favor of Karrion, Scarlett, Paul, Rezar, and Akam.

#1. The New Day and even Odyssey could feud with The Judgment Day

There is a route with less drama. Instead of shaking up The New Day or the group ending, the trio could simply keep working together. If they do indeed keep working together, there is a ready-made feud waiting for them with WWE RAW's top stable.

The Judgment Day is a faction in WWE currently featuring Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, and Carlito. The group is absolutely despised. While they're currently feuding with Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, that'll likely end sooner or later. The New Day and Jones could be their next rivals.

Plus, if The Judgment Day does indeed get targeted by The New Day, it could mean Woods and Kingston chase after the World Tag Team Titles. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh hold the gold and tend not to defend the titles often. Could The New Day dethrone them?
