Triple H and the WWE creative team continue to do a great job with the storylines and the respective feuds on Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Most fans agree that the company has entered a new era that is bringing a lot of excitement to the WWE Universe.

Even though a lot of superstars are getting a push from WWE and the Chief Content Officer, not all superstars are seemingly happy with Triple H's booking. One of them is former United States Champion Baron Corbin.

Corbin returned to the main roster during the WWE Draft back in late April but has yet to get an opportunity to return to the title picture. Still, the former United States Champion made it clear that he is waiting for an opportunity and is working hard to get one.

"I agree!! Just need the opportunity!! I’m fighting like hell for it. Let’s go!" Baron Corbin replied to a fan on X, who wanted to see him claim the United States Championship for the first time since October 8th, 2017.

After a great run on NXT, where he became NXT Tag Team Champion, alongside Bron Breakker, Baron Corbin, who is currently a face, hasn't done anything special on SmackDown. To some fans, it appears that he has no direction at the moment.

The star has already proven his worth with his performances and many feel it is only a matter of time before Triple H utilizes his presence and experience on WWE SmackDown.

Baron Corbin shares excitement about move to SmackDown

As Baron Corbin is waiting for Triple H and the creative team to give him a shot at the United States Championship, he shared his thoughts on his time on SmackDown, almost six months after his return to the main roster.

The former champion revealed that he is happy about his return, but he wants to do more and challenge for titles.

"I’m happy to be back... It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s new, it’s fresh. I’m always happy to be in the mix and a part of things but I’m always hungry for more. I wanna see where this takes me, whether it takes us to tag team gold or we split off and go our own ways and I start working my way back to that main event scene and championship gold," Corbin told Sportskeeda WrestleBinge.

As for the current United States Champion LA Knight, he is set to defend his title against Carmelo Hayes. Once this feud is over, though, Triple H could consider giving Baron Corbin a shot at the US Title.
