WWE's first premium live event in 2025 is going to be a big one. The Sports Entertainment Juggernaut will be hosting the 2025 Royal Rumble on Saturday, February 1st, live from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

To hype up the tickets going on sale, World Wrestling Entertainment released a poster for the upcoming premium live event. The stars featured on the poster include Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Liv Morgan, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns being included is particularly notable. The Original Tribal Chief has a very part-time schedule and he misses several big premium live events. For example, he was completely absent from following WrestleMania up to SummerSlam this year.

With this confirmation that The OTC will be at the show, there is a strong chance he will be in a featured match. This article will take a look at four bouts that the former Undisputed WWE Champion could have if he did indeed compete at the prestigious show in Indianapolis.

Below are four matches Roman Reigns can have at the WWE Royal Rumble in 2025.

#4. Solo Sikoa and The Original Tribal Chief need to fight eventually

Solo Sikoa has elevated himself to a new level in WWE. Gone is The Street Champion on NXT or The Enforcer of The Bloodline. Instead, Solo leads the faction featuring Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.

Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa are cousins, but the two are currently at war. When Roman lost the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Solo stepped up and made himself The Tribal Chief. Now The OTC wants his Ula Fala back.

Out of every match on this list, a bout between Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns feels the most immediate. Still, Roman has a part-time schedule and they won't go one-on-one at Bad Blood. Supposing they don't fight at Crown Jewel or Survivor Series, it could happen at the Royal Rumble.

#3. Jacob Fatu and Roman Reigns is a first-time-ever dream match

Jacob Fatu is one of WWE's most impressive stars. In terms of ring work, he can do physical big-man wrestling but can also do high-flying spots with ease. Beyond that, Fatu has an air of unpredictability around him and a certain legitimacy that is fun to watch.

The talented performer has only gone toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns a few times, but the two never locked horns in an official match. He has helped The Bloodline take out The OTC, however, and many are begging for the two to finally clash.

Many WWE fans would call The Samoan Werewolf vs. The OTC a dream match and the two could potentially compete in a major bout at the 2025 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.

#2. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns need a tiebreaker in WWE

Cody Rhodes is in a prime spot. He is the Undisputed WWE Champion. He won the title by defeating Roman Reigns for the coveted prize in the main event of WrestleMania XL Sunday just six months ago.

This wasn't Cody and Roman's first major match, however. The two had previously clashed at WrestleMania 39 the prior year. That time, Roman Reigns stood tall, albeit thanks to interference from Solo Sikoa. Still, they have a One-One record in major matches in WWE.

The two men need a tiebreaker sooner rather than later. While some hope it will happen at WrestleMania 41, it could instead take place at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

#1. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns could finally try to settle their issues once and for all

Seth Rollins has had an incredible career. The Visionary debuted as part of The Shield and has gone on to become a multi-time World Champion. The Visionary has even headlined WrestleMania and other major premium live events.

Seth and Roman have a long history together in WWE. They came up together alongside Dean Ambrose (aka Jon Moxley) in The Shield. Seth turned on his partners and he and Roman have been both friends and enemies off and on for the past decade. For the bulk of the past four years, however, the two have been true rivals.

In fact, Rollins sacrificed himself at WrestleMania for Rhodes, knowing Reigns still had lingering emotional trauma over the heel turn a decade prior. The men have a lot of animosity to work out. This could end, however, if they are booked to wrestle at the 2025 Royal Rumble. This might be the final chapter in their rivalry and one last chance to let out all of their anger, hurt, and frustration.
