The New Day's Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods haven't had the best time together on WWE RAW lately, and the longtime duo might be going their separate ways soon. However, their relationship in real life isn't the same.

The New Day is one of WWE's most successful tag teams. They were once the longest-reigning tag team champions, achieved individual success, and remain fan favorites. Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Big E sustained a serious neck injury in 2022, causing him to be out of action since. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods continued to wrestle as a duo on RAW, but their relationship has soured since feuding with The Final Testament. Despite the on-screen tension, the group's friendship remained intact behind the scenes.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods do not have real-life heat and remain close friends. Fans can see the superstars' close relationship on Xavier's YouTube channel, UpUpDownDown, where they even hang out with Big E occasionally.

The tension between Kofi and Xavier is purely for storyline purposes only. WWE's decision to potentially break up The New Day could be due to the company wanting to push Woods as a singles star, as he hasn't had a significant run in the solo division compared to his groupmates, who are former world champions.

It could also be the company's way to lead to an emotional return of Big E as an in-ring performer or manager or a reconciliation during the group's 10th anniversary in November.

Does Big E think Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods should remain as The New Day or split after tensions on WWE RAW?

Although Big E hadn't been on television with his teammates for a while, he continued to support the group in different ways through his social media. Unsurprisingly, he was also in full support of what direction The New Day would take on RAW.

In an interview with Sports Talk Philly, Big E shared that Kofi and Xavier knew what they were doing. The absent star said that both stars could succeed in their singles careers due to their accomplishments, but there is also a "route for them to be together as a tag team." The former WWE Champion added that despite everything Kingston and Woods have accomplished, there is still a lot left on the table.
