CM Punk is best known for his time in WWE, but he also worked for several other companies, including TNA Wrestling, before joining the Stamford-based promotion. With the recent partnership between the two organizations, The Second City Saint can appear in Total Nonstop Action after over two decades.

Punk last wrestled for TNA Wrestling on February 25, 2004. He joined WWE in 2005 and was among the top names in the promotion until his exit in 2014. After a lengthy absence, The Second City Saint returned to pro wrestling in 2021 and joined AEW. Last year, the former world champion signed with the global juggernaut again. He could now reunite with his friend Ace Steel in TNA.

In an interview with Lucha Libre Online, Ace Steel recalled how Punk was reportedly backstage at a TNA event in the past. Steel added that professional wrestling was unpredictable and he wouldn't rule out Punk's potential appearance in the Nashvillle-based company.

"You never know what's going to happen with professional wrestling. It's famously been reported that Punk was backstage quite a few times at TNA just visiting with talent (...) So you never know what's gonna happen. I would never rule anything out. I'm not saying that's definite by any means, but no one thought he'd be back in WWE and here he is, and he's loving every minute of it."

As part of the recent partnership between the two companies, Tatum Paxley is the only WWE star to appear in TNA. She answered Jordynne Grace's open challenge for the Knockouts World Championship.

Since he has a good relationship with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling personnel, Punk could appear in the company soon.

Which other WWE star besides CM Punk is heavily rumored to appear in TNA as part of the recent partnership?

Many stars of the Stamford-based promotion have wrestled for TNA in the past. Multi-time world champion AJ Styles made his name in the former IMPACT Wrestling before becoming a global icon.

In a recent interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, The Phenomenal One said it was good for talents of both companies to have the option of appearing in both TNA and World Wrestling Entertainment. He added that the partnership would allow performers to experience different wrestling styles.

It will be interesting to see whether CM Punk and AJ Styles will appear in TNA in the coming months.
