Bullet Club vs Balor Club on the horizon?

The Bullet Club prepares for battle during a New Japan Pro Wrestling event in 2013.

It wasn’t too long ago when WWE would have the inside track on some type of Bullet Club Civil War angle. Even without the actual Bullet Club name, WWE had most of the major players in tow or making a push for another that would give the WWE Universe a big Bullet Club angle.

Signing Finn Balor in 2014, followed by AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson in 2016 as well as courting Kenny Omega in early 2017 would have given WWE a golden opportunity to cash in on a Bullet Club Civil War angle.

However, time did not favour these intentions. WWE and Kenny Omega never came to terms leaving the talented Canadian grappler as a solid main event star in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The once internationally renowned tag team of Gallows & Anderson has been reduced to a WWE laughing stock.

Although WWE did give its fans a huge Bullet Club dream match in AJ Styles vs Finn Balor at WWE TLC in October, Balor’s WWE stock has since plummeted. At the moment, Styles is the only former Club member in WWE who hold some value in the company.

These WWE developments may have put the ball back in the court of the aforementioned New Japan Pro Wrestling for a huge Bullet Club Civil War angle. There are a lot of aspects in this dream scenario but a Bullet Club Civil War angle in New Japan Pro Wrestling shouldn’t be ruled out for the foreseeable future.

Balor, Gallows, and Anderson can’t be happy with their recent bookings on WWE Raw. They have all been reduced to jobbers to the stars. If they all left WWE then New Japan Pro Wrestling would be the odds-on favourites to land the trio. Together, the three arguably had their greatest success while wrestling in New Japan and one can imagine that they would be welcomed back with open arms.

This could set up a potentially lucrative angle involving The Bullet Club (Omega and The Young Bucks) vs The “Balor” Club ( Balor, Gallows, and Anderson). What do you think? Are Balor, Gallows, and Anderson on their way out of WWE? If so, would you like to see The Bullet Club vs The “Balor” Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling? Sound off in comments!
