When asked about how confident he was of becoming a WWE champion, Ryback said that he grew up watching the WWE and the time he becomes a champion was very near. He said that he looks forward to walking up to the ring as the champion.

Regarding the team match between Team Hell No and the Shield, he said that he was good friends with Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett. He followed up by saying, “But to be a part of that match with Kane and The Shield.. I firmly believe that those three men [are] extremely talented and when they eventually go on their own, all of them are going to be a big part of the WWE for many years to come. So to go out there and have that kind of match with everyone; it’s a tremendous honor. And it was a very physical hard-hitting match. And that crowd in Brooklyn was hot. It felt good to be a part of that.”

Ryback went onto say that he was a great fan of Goldberg. Ryback said “I was a fan of his. I think [he] was unbelievable and exciting and fun to watch. But I truly, truly love this and have a passion for this and want to be as great as this as I could possibly be.” He says that he is going to stay with the company for the rest of his life. Ryback hopes to become a bigger draw than what Bill Goldberg was and looks forward to outdoing the former WWE superstar, in any way possible.

Ryback also feels that Vince McMahon is not a fan of the “Big Hungry Machine” nickname, considering he wants to move out of Goldberg’s shadow.
