Ronda Rousey will be one of the marquee Superstars in WWE 2K19

WWE 2K19 is the newest WWE 2K game which is going to release this October. The game looks promising and great, from what has been revealed to fans thus far.

It's common knowledge that 2K loves to add a diverse cast of characters to the game. Every year, we see new characters added to the game's roster which include current superstars, former superstars, superstars with alternate attires and most importantly legends.

2K has already confirmed the addition of stars such as Ric Flair, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage and Undertaker '02 for the Woo! Edition of the game. However, there may be some more legends who might be added as playable characters to the game.

While the return of certain legends happens to be more than obvious, a few other wrestlers who've been flying under the radar, might return to WWE 2K19 as a playable character. Let us talk about five legends whom we might see as a playable character in the game--

#5 Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool is a former Divas Champion

Michelle McCool is a women's pro-wrestling legend and a former 4-time Champion. She left WWE in 2011 and appeared in WWE '12 for the last time.

Since then she was neither a part of WWE roster nor the WWE game roster. However, McCool returned to WWE this year in January, when she attended RAW's 25th year anniversary episode as well as when partook in the first-ever WWE Women's Royal Rumble.

Furthermore, there is a high probability that she will appear at WWE Evolution the upcoming all-women's PPV. Since 2K would like to add the Women's Evolution storylines to the game, there is a high chance that they will include Michelle McCool in WWE 2K19.

Her two appearances in January also tell us that she does not have any bad blood with the company, so one expect her to be in the game.

McCool is perhaps one of the most underrated female talents in WWE history—perhaps owing to the fact that during her reign at the top of the food chain in the company, women’s wrestling wasn’t quite where it is right now.

The inclusion of McCool in the WWE 2K19 video game as a legend, would be a great way to accord this great former Superstar an opportunity to shine—particularly given the current climate of professional wrestling as a whole and the ongoing Women’s Evolution.

Fans can indeed expect this WWE legend to likely show up in the WWE 2K19 game.

#4 The Dudley Boyz

The Dudley Boyz are tag-team legends

The team of Bubba-Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley, known as The Dudley Boyz are the tag-team legends. They stepped away from their role of active WWE Superstars in August of 2016.

Their last in-game appearance was in WWE 2K17. However, they returned for the RAW 25th year anniversary episode, and were subsequently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

The Dudley Boyz were inductees into the Hall of Fame class of 2018, and every hall of fame inductee from the same year gets a spot in the WWE games either as part of the game or as a part of the DLC pack. Considering that, the Dudley Boyz should most definitely be accorded a spot on the WWE 2K19 game roster.

#3 Jeff Jarrett

Jeff Jarrett is a born entertainer

Jeff Jarrett is a WCW legend and a 6-time WWE Intercontinental Champion. His last appearance in WWE was in 1999 and WCW in 2001.

Jarrett hasn't ever appeared in a WWE game. This year though, things may change and he may be featured in WWE 2K19.

Should anyone have said that a year before, it would have likely sounded impossible, considering the past issues in his relationship with WWE.

Regardless, Jarrett was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year much like the Dudley Boyz--which marked his first appearance in WWE in 18 years. That, in turn, could be a sign of WWE potentially including Double-J in the 2K19 game.

There is a chance of JJ appearing in WWE 2K19 as a part of DLC. Should Jarrett be included in WWE 2K19, it will be his first-ever time being featured in a WWE game. The fans would most definitely love to see this one.

#2 Bruno Sammartino

Bruno Sammartino holds the record of longest reign as WWE Champion

Whenever you talk about a legend, Bruno Sammartino will always strike your mind. Sammartino holds the longest reign as WWE Champion (2803 days), a record which is probably impossible to break.

However, 2K hasn't quite done justice to him, so to speak. Sammartino was only included in one WWE game--WWE 2K14--and that too as a DLC character.

Although 2K added his move-set and entrance in the game, it doesn't mean much without the presence of his character in the game.

However, chances of him appearing in the game have increased this year. In light of Sammartino having passed away earlier this year, the belief is that he could be featured in the 2K19 game this year--as a sign of respect from WWE and 2K to the legend.

It would most definitely be great to see him return to a WWE game. The fans would love to play as Bruno Sammartino in the game.

Furthermore, it'd be safe to say that there is currently no better way to pay him tribute, than adding him to the game.

#1 Hulk Hogan

What's you gonna do...when you get a chance to play as him, Brother?
Hulk Hogan is a true legend of the sport

Hulk Hogan is considered by many, as the greatest professional wrestler to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He is also a reason why many fans started watching pro-wrestling in the first place!

Hogan is a former 6-time WWE Champion and has headlined WrestleMania a total of 7 times in his career. Hulk Hogan was last seen in WWE in 2015 and was later fired from WWE and removed from Hall of Fame due to the emergence of a few leaked tapes which showed him mouthing racist profanities.

Hogan's last appeared in WWE 2K15 as a DLC character. This year, there is a possibility he might appear in the game and will be a playable character in WWE 2K19..

In July this year, Hogan was reinstated to the WWE Hall of Fame and was even invited backstage for Extreme Rules. It is clear that his relations with WWE are getting better and that the fans and pro-wrestling community as a whole are eager for him to return to WWE.

Furthermore, we can't deny the fact that his presence in the game will help generate a buzz, as many fans yearn to play as "The Hulkster" in the game.
