The latest episode of WWE SmackDown featured several unexpected moments, including the show ending with Roman Reigns being taken down once again by Bloodline 2.0. In addition, fans witnessed the arrival of the Motor City Machine Guns, who emerged victorious in a Triple-Threat match.

In this article, we will discuss five things the Stamford-based promotion has subtly hinted at in the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

#5. Triple H getting involved in the Kevin Owens & Randy Orton storyline

Next Pat Patterson revealed? More HERE

One of the major things WWE subtly hinted at on the recent SmackDown is that Triple H will soon potentially be involved in the storyline between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. This was suggested during a backstage segment where The Viper confronted Nick Aldis, demanding a match against Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel 2024.

However, the SmackDown General Manager explained that there were orders to the contrary from above and that he couldn’t grant Orton’s request. In response, Orton mentioned that he knew exactly who he needed to talk to, hinting that he would approach Triple H instead.

As the Chief Content Officer and a former Evolution member alongside Orton, Triple H could now become a key figure in this storyline, with Orton turning to The Game to get his match request fulfilled.

#4. WWE making Kevin Owens' contract situation a pure angle for SmackDown

Kevin Owens' new WWE deal is expected to be finalized soon with the Stamford-based promotion. However, with a recent video of The Prizefighter surfacing, it seems WWE is incorporating this real-life situation into the current storyline.

In the video posted by Owens on his X (fka Twitter) account, he expressed disappointment with Randy Orton and WWE regarding his current situation. He also mentioned that he was uncertain if or when he would return to the company.

This suggests that WWE may be building a storyline where Kevin Owens refuses to sign a new deal due to the way he has been treated since attacking Cody Rhodes.

#3. The Bloodline is expected to aid Bron Breakker on RAW

Jey Uso made a surprise appearance on SmackDown and confronted the new Bloodline. However, things didn’t end well. When Jey flaunted being the Intercontinental Champion, Solo Sikoa was seen eyeing the title. In addition, the 39-year-old star also refused to acknowledge Sikoa, even after Solo's insistence.

These actions could backfire on Jey, as Bloodline 2.0 might show up on the upcoming RAW to aid Bron Breakker in his title match against Jey.

For those who may not know, Jey is set to defend his title against Breakker on the next RAW. Given Jey's behavior toward Solo, Sikoa may not be pleased, and this could lead to The Bloodline supporting Bron in his match against Jey.

#2. Potential heel turn of DIY on next week's SmackDown

DIY and Motor City Machine Guns are set to clash in a high-profile match on the upcoming SmackDown, with the winner earning a shot at The Bloodline in a tag team title match. However, if DIY suffers a loss to MCMG, it’s possible this could lead to a potential heel turn for Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

The reason behind this villainous turn could be their repeated failure to capture the tag team gold from The Bloodline despite multiple opportunities.

If the Motor City Machine Guns defeat DIY next week and qualify to face Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, this could push Gargano and Ciampa over the edge, ultimately triggering their heel turn.

#1. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso might also appear on the upcoming RAW

While Bloodline 2.0 has a high chance of appearing on RAW to aid Bron Breakker, it’s also possible that Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso could show up - but to help Jey Uso instead.

In a segment on this week's SmackDown, Jey rejected The Original Tribal Chief. Despite this, Reigns and Jimmy might appear on the upcoming RAW to help Jey against potential interference from Bloodline 2.0, showing that they still genuinely care about him.

This could eventually lead to an OG Bloodline reunion in the near future, especially if Jey loses his title due to interference from Solo Sikoa’s faction on the forthcoming RAW.
