5 Potential Superstars that Dolph Ziggler could form a faction with

The Show-Off.
The Show-Off.

The Show-Off was featured on an interview with Busted Open Radio as Dolph Ziggler had revealed that he wanted to lead his own stable of "misfits" in the WWE. Regardless of whatever way that Ziggler has been booked, he is still a recognizable name in the WWE.

Due to the fact that Ziggler current WWE status is clearly putting over and up-and-coming talent as we've seen with Drew McIntyre, there is no doubt that a stable for Ziggler would be a great way to establish himself further, and other superstars that need the rub. It's also unknown whether Ziggler would be a babyface or heel for this potential stable idea, which increases the possibilities of superstars that could join The Show-Off.

Here are 5 potential superstars in the WWE that could form a faction with Dolph Ziggler.

#5 Mojo Rawley

Rawley.
Rawley.

Mojo Rawley has featured plenty of times whether it has been on Raw or SmackDown, but it seems as if he doesn't connect with the fans regardless of whether he's a face or heel.

The last time that Rawley had any success in the WWE was when he won The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania 33 kick-off show.

Unfortunately, nothing came out of Rawley's win apart from a tag team with Zack Ryder which led to Rawley's heel turn.

Rawley was then drafted to Raw as part of the 2017 Superstar Shake-Up, but he has still been floundering.

However, on the 28th January 2019 edition of Raw, we saw an intriguing segment featuring Mojo Rawley as we saw Rawley talking to himself in the mirror as he stated that he would reveal "who I really am."

A more psychotic and dangerous side to Rawley could be exceptional for his character, but the best way to execute this change of character would be to have him join forces with Dolph Ziggler.

If Rawley was to turn into a more vicious person, then he would easily fit the bill of a "misfit" that Ziggler would be looking for if he was to ever form a stable.

#4 Heath Slater

The Thriller.
The Thriller.

Another superstar that would fit the label of a "misfit" is none other than Heath Slater. This is because Slater is an example of a Superstar who doesn't fit in with the crowd.

He has a very enthusiastic and funny personality, which could easily be transformed into a serious character if he was to join Ziggler.

Vince McMahon also promised Slater in the new year that "2019 would be his year" which suggests that WWE have big plans in store for him.

However, we haven't seen Slater do anything special on Raw as of late apart from reuniting in a tag team with Rhyno.

We have also seen shades of a serious Heath Slater, during SmackDown Live when he was a free agent (kayfabe) on July 26th, 2016.

Slater had invaded SmackDown before cutting a passionate promo about how he wasn't drafted to either Raw or SmackDown. The promo was a serious indication of how Slater can be on the mic as a fiery competitor.

If The Thriller dropped Rhyno as a tag team partner, joining forces with Ziggler by having a more serious approach to his character would be excellent.

The reasoning for Slater joining Ziggler could be that he is sick of everybody seeing him as a joke. If this storyline took place, there is no denying that Slater would thrive again on Raw.

#3 Apollo Crews

Crews.
Crews.

Apollo Crews is a superstar that has plenty of potential to be a huge star but it's clear that WWE doesn't know what to do with his potential.

Everything about Crews is absolutely perfect due to his fantastic physique, and his unique move-set except his skills on the microphone when it comes to promos. Crews is clearly not comfortable whilst speaking on the mic, but this is where Ziggler could come in.

Ziggler has already stated that "Maybe someone like me could be a mouthpiece and lead them on to greater things." which suggests that Ziggler could talk on the mic whilst Crews becomes a reckless character in the same vein as Drew McIntyre.

Funnily enough, Ziggler and Crews have previously feuded before when Ziggler had turned heel but this wouldn't be detrimental to a possible alliance as Crews could state that it was Ziggler's attack on him that reminded him that in order to gain an opportunity, he would have to take it.

Seeing Crews alongside Ziggler would definitely create a storm of perfection.

#2 Chad Gable

Gable
Gable

Despite the fact that Gable is currently one half of the Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Bobby Roode, he is definitely a superstar that has what it takes to be in an alliance with Dolph Ziggler.

This is because of Gable's amateur wrestling background, as this is something that Ziggler can also relate to due to the fact that he has also competed in amateur wrestling.

In 2016, it was also reported that Dolph Ziggler would be involved in a Shooters Style stable which would've consisted of amateur wrestling superstars such as Chad Gable, Jack Swagger, and Shelton Benjamin.

However, this is an idea that never came into fruition. It most certainly couldn't happen now, with Benjamin being on SmackDown as well as Swagger competing on Bellator, but with Gable now being on Raw, there is a chance that he could join with Ziggler as a fellow misfit.

The best way for Gable to join forces with Ziggler would be to use Ziggler's history with Bobby Roode. When Roode first burst onto the main roster scene on SmackDown during 2017, Ziggler was his first ever rival.

Ziggler could put thoughts into Gable's head by stating that Roode is dragging him down and that he should join with The Show-Off. This could also create a potential rivalry for Ziggler's new alliance in Bobby Roode if the rumor was to ever come into fruition.

#1 Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins

The Major Brothers.
The Major Brothers.

And finally, we have the former Major Brothers at number one on the list. The reason being is the fact that Ziggler had originally suggested having Ryder and Hawkins in his stable, as they would definitely make the perfect misfits.

On the January 21st, 2019 edition of Raw, we saw The Major Brothers reunite after Zack Ryder had made the save for Curt Hawkins due to The Revival brutally attacking Hawkins, who was a referee for The Revival's tag team match.

Unfortunately, the following week on the January 28th, 2019 episode of Raw, we saw Ryder and Hawkins lose their return match against The Revival.

Despite that loss, it's clear that there is potential in Hawkins' losing streak storyline as it now implements Ryder as well. The two men have held tag team gold together, so at least they have an accolade.

With the duo now being a tag team, it's clear that the moment Hawkins and Ryder gain a win in the next match, that the ovation will be enormous.

The best possible way to add Ziggler into this mix would ideally be after Ryder and Hawkins have their first win since reforming. This is so that the tag team can have some momentum before potentially joining forces with Ziggler.

Having the duo become vandals could be the best way to go, and if they aligned themselves with Ziggler, there is no doubt that they would be here to show the world what they're capable of.
