Former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, also known as Thea Trinidad, could be set to return to WWE in the near future.

It was shockingly reported last week that the former WWE Superstar was spotted during filming at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This was certainly surprising news as Vega was released by WWE in November 2020.

The release came after she reportedly breached her contract by creating an OnlyFans account. This went against WWE's new edict on talent using third party platforms.

In addition to clashing with WWE over the use of third party platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and Cameo, Zelina Vega also posted a tweet in support of unionization in professional wrestling.

Nevertheless, if the reports are accurate we could see Zelina Vega return to WWE television in the very near future.

But what will Zelina Vega's role in WWE be going forward? Vega is perhaps best known as the manager of Andrade on WWE television. However, the former NXT Champion is no longer with the promotion after requesting his release from his contract earlier this year.

So, should Zelina Vega return to WWE, who will she manage? Let's take a closer look at five possible clients for Zelina Vega if she returns to WWE.

#5 Former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Angel Garza

Angel Garza was previously a client of Zelina Vega during her previous stint on the WWE roster

In addition to managing former United States Champion Andrade, Zelina Vega has also managed a select few other superstars on the WWE roster. One such name is former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Angel Garza.

During a feud with Monday Night RAW star Humberto Carrillo in 2020, Vega revealed on RAW that the former NXT superstar was her latest client.

This gradually turned into a faction for Vega on RAW that consisted of Andrade, Angel Garza and young NXT superstar Austin Theory.

Andrade and Angel Garza regularly teamed up on Monday Night RAW, challenging for the RAW Tag Team Championships on several occasions. However, the tag team proved to be incredibly disfunctional and Andrade and Garza eventually split in the fall of 2020.

Due to their dysfunctional nature, Zelina Vega ended her association with both Andrade and Angel Garza before being drafted to SmackDown during the 2020 WWE Draft.

Now that Vega looks set to return to WWE, could she once again resume her association with Angel Garza? The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion has not been doing all that much on the red brand in recent months. So Vega's association could be just what Garza needs right now.

#4 Former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander

Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander currently appears to be lost on Monday Night RAW.

Alexander was in a tag team with Ricochet on the red brand in 2020 before turning on his tag team partner to join the ranks of The Hurt Business with Bobby Lashley, MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

This led to immediate success for Cedric Alexander on Monday Night RAW. The Hurt Business was one of the most impressive and dominant factions on WWE television. Alexander even found championship success, winning the RAW tag team titles with Shelton Benjamin.

However, this all changed on the road to WrestleMania 37 in 2021. Benjamin and Alexander lost the RAW Tag Team Championships to The New Day on Monday Night RAW in March.

This, along with previous failures, led to MVP and Bobby Lashley removing both Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin from The Hurt Business.

After their exile from the faction, Alexander and Benjamin continued to team together briefly before eventually splitting up several weeks ago. Many within the WWE Universe are now concerned that there isn't much in terms of creative or storylines on Cedric Alexander's horizon right now on RAW.

Perhaps an alliance with Zelina Vega on RAW could be just what the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champion needs to steer his WWE career back in the right direction on Monday Nights.

#3 Former WWE RAW Women's Champion Asuka

Former WWE RAW Women's Champion Asuka has been one of the most consistent performers on Monday Night RAW over the past twelve months.

During a particularly difficult period of WWE producing television during the global pandemic at the WWE Performance Center with zero fans in attendance, Asuka shone as a bright spot every single week on Monday Night RAW.

During that time, the women's division on Monday Night RAW also saw the departure of megastars such as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey from WWE television for a variety of reasons.

Despite the loss of such big stars, Asuka was able to carry the RAW division on her shoulders as it's champion for the majority of the past year.

However, Asuka recently lost the RAW Women's Championship to Rhea Rhipley at WrestleMania 37 Night Two. This loss was further compounded when Asuka was pinned by Ripley at WrestleMania Backlash in the RAW Women's Championship triple threat match.

Now it would appear that Asuka is firmly out of the RAW Women's Championship picture. One must ask what is next for the Empress of Tomorrow in WWE?

Zelina Vega has only managed male superstars so far in WWE. Despite being an active in-ring performer herself, perhaps Vega could be set to manage female superstars on the roster. Asuka utilizing Vega's business acumen and promo skills would certainly be a valuable asset for the former RAW Women's Champion going forward in WWE.

#2 Former WWE United States Champion Cesaro

WWE Friday Night SmackDown Superstar Cesaro has had quite the 2021 so far.

The Swiss Superman competed in his first WrestleMania singles match at WrestleMania 37 Night One when he defeated former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a fantastic match.

This recent success continued on Friday Night SmackDown when Cesaro earned an opportunity to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania Backlash.

Despite coming up short against The Tribal Chief at WrestleMania Backlash, Cesaro's performance was absolutely incredible. Reigns and Cesaro delivered a spectacular Universal Championship main event.

However, after Reigns defeated Cesaro, the Swiss Cyborg's long-time rival Seth Rollins suddenly appeared at WrestleMania Backlash and viciously attacked Cesaro, further injuring his already injured shoulder and arm.

With Cesaro possibly off WWE television to sell the effects of his injuries sustained at WrestleMania Backlash, perhaps now is the perfect time to pair the returning Zelina Vega with Cesaro.

While Roman Reigns has his special counsel in Paul Heyman, Cesaro could possibly return to WWE television in several weeks with Zelina Vega as the former WWE United States Champion's new advocate on Friday Night SmackDown.

#1 Former WWE NXT Champion Aleister Black

WWE has its fair share of real-life couples on the roster. Many WWE Superstars have met their significant other while working for the promotion, eventually marrying and beginning a family together.

One such example is husband and wife Zelina Vega and Aleister Black. After both meeting while performing for the NXT brand, Vega and Black married in 2018.

Zelina Vega and Aleister Black upload regular posts on social media of them together. The couple also regularly participated in streams on Vega's Twitch channel prior to WWE implementing the new edict on talent utilizing third-party platforms.

After Zelina Vega's release in 2020, many assumed that Aleister Black would follow his wife in departing the company. While that did not happen, Aleister Black has not competed inside a WWE ring since his wife was released.

Furthermore, there were previously reports that Black hadn't been seen at all backstage at SmackDown TV tapings during the winter.

However, that all changed several weeks ago when vignettes promoting Aleister Black's return to the ring began airing on Friday Night SmackDown. The former NXT Champion has told 'Tales From The Dark Father', narrating over animation during the vignettes.

With Zelina Vega's return to the company seemingly confirmed, many are now questioning whether she could be set to join her husband in an on-screen partnership on SmackDown. Historically, some of the best and most natural partnerships in professional wrestling have been when storylines reflect real-life.
