Different WWE Superstars took different paths to get to where they are now. While some joined the Stamford-based promotion as wrestlers, others found themselves in different positions in the company.

The most common role many superstars played before they became featured talents is that of Adam Rose's Rosebuds, which the likes of Braun Strowman and Becky Lynch have played. Some stars were part of other talent's entrances as extras, like CM Punk, Jon Moxley (FKA Dean Ambrose), Charlotte Flair, and more. However, another role several current superstars played is being a bodyguard or police officer.

For this list, we will look at four WWE stars who played bodyguards before they became in-ring performers.

#4. Being a bodyguard is just one of the many roles LA Knight played in WWE before becoming The Megastar

LA Knight landed in several roles both in and outside the world of wrestling before becoming a superstar. He was an extra for various commercials and even had a small role in an episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Unsurprisingly, he also played other roles in WWE.

In 2011, he was seen as a security guard during CM Punk and Kevin Nash's segment on RAW. He was also one of Sasha Banks' (AKA Mercedes Mone) bodyguards during her early days in NXT.

#3. MVP debuted in WWE as a police officer

MVP has portrayed several roles in the company aside from being a superstar; among them is being a manager. Although many may remember seeing him for the first time in the ring in 2006, he actually debuted much earlier.

Montel Vontavious Porter signed with the Stamford-based promotion in 2005 and competed in Deep South Wrestling as Antonio Banks. On the January 13, 2005, episode of SmackDown, he made his first appearance for WWE as a police officer involved in Kurt Angle's segment.

#2. and #1. Sheamus and Wade Barrett worked as security guards on the same episode

Many superstars had different careers before becoming wrestlers. However, Sheamus may be the only person on this list who actually worked as a security guard before playing one on television. Interestingly, The Celtic Warrior was joined by Wade Barrett in this role on RAW.

Sheamus and the SmackDown commentator were just a couple of the security guards who appeared on the November 13, 2006, episode of RAW in the United Kingdom during a DX segment. While Wade was attacked, Sheamus received a Pedigree from Triple H.
