4 matches Brock Lesnar must have before retiring from WWE

WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has been out of action since his encounter with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam last year. Reports suggested that The Beast Incarnate was supposed to make his return in early 2024, but plans were shelved after he was allegedly alluded to in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE.

Currently awaiting a potential return date, Lesnar remains signed with the company. As he may be nearing retirement, WWE must use his talents and star power judiciously to elevate the current roster of superstars.

Here are four matches Brock Lesnar must have before retiring.

#4. Ilja Dragunov

Some of the best matches Brock Lesnar has had over the past decade have been against smaller, technical wrestlers like AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Finn Balor. Ilja Dragunov fits this mold perfectly.

Known for his hard-hitting intensity and exceptional in-ring skills, Dragunov has proven to be one of the best performers today. A potential matchup with Lesnar would be a fantastic opportunity to showcase Dragunov's talents to the fans and catapult him into the main event scene.

#3. Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu made his highly anticipated WWE debut during the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, having one of the most impressive first outings in recent memory. The Samoan Werewolf took out top stars including Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes and aligned himself with The Bloodline.

It is clear that Jacob Fatu will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come. Given his top-tier athleticism and in-ring ability, a potential matchup against Brock Lesnar would be a must-see encounter, helping to establish Fatu as an unstoppable monster moving forward.

Bron Breakker is deemed by many as the next big thing in WWE, much like how Brock Lesnar was viewed when he debuted in 2002. Since moving to RAW, Breakker's presentation has been impressive as he has wreaked havoc on the Monday Night RAW roster.

With Breakker seemingly out of control, General Manager Adam Pearce might need to bring back Brock Lesnar to keep him in check. A potential feud between these two powerhouses has the potential to be legendary, and the Stamford-based company will undoubtedly be looking to make this happen before Lesnar retires.

#1. 'King' Gunther

Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar has been a potential dream match for fans since The Ring General made his main roster debut. Gunther himself has mentioned in multiple interviews that Lesnar would be his dream opponent.

Earlier this year, reports indicated that WWE was eager to make this matchup happen at WrestleMania 40. However, the Janel Grant lawsuit forced the company to shelve any plans for The Beast Incarnate.

If Lesnar does make his in-ring return down the line, WWE needs to ensure he has a feud with the reigning King of the Ring before he hangs up his boots.
