Cody Rhodes put the loyalty of the current Bloodline to the test when he offered Jacob Fatu a championship match last week on SmackDown. The Samoan Werewolf stepped aside as ordered by Solo Sikoa, but it seems almost certain that the Stamford-based promotion will move forward with the match eventually.

The American Nightmare will face Sikoa on the September 13th, 2024 episode of WWE SmackDown, which is also the blue show's Season Premiere on USA Network. There's a minimal chance that Solo Sikoa will dethrone Cody Rhodes, especially since Roman Reigns is slated to return to WWE TV on the same night. After this match, Cody Rhodes' next challenger can be Jacob Fatu for Bad Blood 2024.

At the returning premium live event, Jacob Fatu may find himself at a disadvantage, and the reason will be his Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. The new Tribal Chief will not allow The Samoan Werewolf to overshadow him by dethroning the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Out of sheer fear and jealousy, the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief could cost Fatu the victory. The betrayal would act as an eye-opener for The Bloodline member, triggering him to turn on the former NXT North American Champion and joining forces with Roman Reigns.

It had always been speculated that The Samoan Werewolf would arrive in WWE as an ally for The Original Tribal Chief. If the Stamford-based promotion brings them together, it may even trigger The Rock's return. The Final Boss is the ultimate heel, and Solo Sikoa will need his guidance if he wants to stand a chance against Fatu and Reigns.

WWE Hall of Famer explains Cody Rhodes' "underwhelming" title run

Cody Rhodes has faced heels such as AJ Styles, Logan Paul, and Solo Sikoa during his championship run so far. Despite being a fighting champion, he hasn't been able to have an impact on the level of Roman Reigns.

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray explained that one of Rhodes' former rivals was The Rock. The Brahma Bull posed a huge threat to The American Nightmare which none of the other heels on WWE have been able to do.

"He [Cody] hasn't had a heel like The Rock. Now I know we're asking a lot. It's difficult to come out of an angle that main-evented WrestleMania with a guy portraying the heel like The Rock was and then find somebody who could be at the same level as The Rock. So you're dealing with challengers who are heels, but nobody who's posing the threat that The Rock did. So, underwhelming, because I don't think we've had the right mega heel."

The Stamford-based promotion might be working on an angle to reignite Rhodes and Rock's feud, with them clashing for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41.
