Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship on his second try. He first attempted the feat at Money in the Bank, but SummerSlam is where he secured the gold. This marks his first championship run on the main roster.

The young superstar has constantly shown significant potential and has quickly become a popular attraction on Monday Night RAW. Undoubtedly, WWE must have big plans for him considering the push he has been receiving since Royal Rumble 2024.

Breakker's challengers from the main roster will soon reveal themselves. However, here are three WWE legends that he must be booked against to make the Intercontinental Championship run even more impactful.

#3. Bron Breakker replaced Brock Lesnar in WWE

The Beast Incarnate has never won the Intercontinental Championship. Hence, winning it will be a great way to end his in-ring career. Furthermore, Bron Breakker is deemed as Brock Lesnar's replacement in WWE, and that is a great angle to build a monstrous storyline for them.

The Beast Incarnate should return to WWE to take down the man who replaced him, and Bron Breakker could agree to the challenge. While Brock Lesnar doesn't need the victory, WWE can book more than one match where Breakker comes out as the winner of the rivalry.

#2. Goldberg has never won the Intercontinental Championship

Goldberg's last WWE appearance was in 2022 against Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber. His contract expired after that, and the company did not renew it. However, he has not announced his retirement from the squared circle yet.

Just as Lesnar vs. Breakker is a mammoth of a match, Goldberg vs. Bron Breakker will be just as impactful. Breakker, born in 1997, was just six years old when Goldberg made his WWE debut in 2003. Hence, the two are from two completely different eras of WWE.

Goldberg vs. Breakker will be the match where WWE fans of all ages unite to witness glory. Of course, chances are Breakker will emerge victorious against Goldberg and propel further to the top!

#1. John Cena needs to become a Grand Slam Champion

The Champ has won the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, and the United States Championship, but never the Intercontinental Championship. He has also won the WWE Tag Team and World Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, he cannot become a Grand Slam champion without winning the Intercontinental Championship.

John Cena will begin his retirement tour in January 2025 and end it in December 2025. Either before that or during that, Bron Breakker needs to place the championship on the line against The Champ. Ideally, Cena could take it from him in their first match, and then Cena put him over by losing the title to him during his retirement tour.
