In the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Jey Uso made an unexpected appearance and rejected Roman Reigns in a backstage segment. This unfolded after The YEET Master confronted Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline at the start of the show.

Roman and Jimmy entered the venue, and The Original Tribal Chief grabbed Jey's arm after an intense eye-to-eye confrontation. Roman told Jey he was proud of him, but the Intercontinental Champion, visibly frustrated, responded with "No Yeet" and rejected The Head of the Table.

In this article, we will discuss three reasons why Jey Uso might have rejected Roman Reigns on the blue brand tonight.

#3. Jey Uso wants to stay away from this family war

When The YEET Master confronted Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline, he stated that Solo was causing conflicts within the family and dividing them. Despite everything Roman has done to him in the past, Jey has seemingly moved on and distanced himself from the family drama and has now become the Intercontinental Champion on WWE RAW.

This shows that Jey has no intention of getting involved in the Bloodline saga again, as he doesn’t want to fight his own family anymore.

This could be why The YEET Master rejected Roman in the backstage segment. Showing even a slight interest in reuniting with the original Bloodline might pull Jey back into the storyline, but it seems he has no desire to return to that turmoil.

#2. The Samoan twin does not want Roman Reigns' acknowledgment

Another reason for Jey Uso’s rejection of Roman Reigns could be that he no longer seeks acknowledgment from Reigns for his accomplishments. As mentioned earlier, when Roman and Jimmy Uso confronted Jey, The Original Tribal Chief said he was proud of Jey. He even went on to say they were all proud of Jey.

However, this acknowledgment from Reigns is something Jey no longer supposedly values, which is why he chose to reject The Head of the Table.

When Jey was aligned with Reigns during his heel turn, Roman only cared about being acknowledged for his skills and accomplishments. Now, Jey doesn’t see this praise as valuable, especially since Roman has shown himself to be selfish in the past.

#1. Jey Uso still has not forgotten the past incidents with Roman Reigns

During his segment with the new Bloodline, Jey Uso mentioned how he had stepped away from the Bloodline saga after having conflicts with Roman Reigns. The Original Tribal Chief and The YEET Master have a tumultuous history in WWE.

Reigns' heel turn reached its peak during the pandemic when he feuded with Jey. Later, when Jey turned on Roman, their rivalry intensified even further.

After the past poor treatment, resentment between the duo is something Jey might still hold onto. This could explain why he chose to reject the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion on SmackDown.
