Triple H has gained much praise as WWE's head of creative after visible changes and improvements in weekly shows and Premium Live Events. However, nothing is ever perfect, and there have often been lapses in his decisions.

Since The Game replaced Vince McMahon as the head of creative, WWE has significantly improved. The company experiments more with camera angles, more international Premium Live Events are being held, and superstars themselves have expressed their liking for the environment created by the Triple H-led regime. Moreover, the company has focused on long-term, meaningful storytelling since The King of Kings took over.

However, there are still some areas that need work. For this list, we will look at the three biggest mistakes Triple H has made in the past year.

#3. WWE's Tag Team division needs more exposure; factions need meaningful storylines

Many wrestlers from the men's and women's divisions have been pushed as singles stars and have been given several opportunities on the main roster during Triple H's regime, but one area that the WWE Chief Content Officer still needs to work on is the tag team division.

The Game has introduced many factions over the past few months, like The Pride, The Final Testament, Sonya Deville's group with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, and the Wyatt Sicks. At the moment, only Uncle Howdy's group has received a positive reaction from fans, and the rest aren't even being booked well or featured regularly.

The tag teams aren't also being booked well; they either have a short reign or are not featured regularly. Reigning Women's Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn have only defended their title twice so far since their triumph at Clash at the Castle, while #DIY only held the WWE Tag Team Championship for 28 days.

#2. Triple H did not pull the trigger on Otis vs. Chad Gable

Chad Gable turning heel after WrestleMania XL is one of the good booking decisions Triple H has made during his regime. It gave the RAW Superstar a breath of fresh air, and his storyline with the members of the Alpha Academy, especially Otis, generated massive interest among fans.

Otis received a massive cheer from the audience when he finally fought back against Master Gable. However, instead of both men feuding and eventually having a match, The Game decided to book Gable and The Creed Brothers in a program with the Wyatt Sicks.

Given the WWE Universe's interest in the Gable-Otis saga, Triple H not booking the duo for a series of singles matches feels like a massive missed opportunity.

#1. Lack of promotion and underwhelming booking of Bayley as WWE Women's Champion

Many rooted for Bayley to become the winner of this year's Women's Royal Rumble and dethrone former WWE Women's Champion IYO SKY at WrestleMania XL after Damage CTRL betrayed The Role Model. Bayley went on to win the Royal Rumble, and she later defeated SKY at The Show of Shows to claim the title.

However, Bayley's reign as champion was average due to underwhelming booking by the Triple H-led creative. The lack of substantial, meaningful storylines made The Role Model's reign a dull affair. Additionally, the company barely featured the 35-year-old on the posters of PLEs during her reign as WWE Women's Champion.

The former Damage CTRL leader was also excluded from the initial posters of SummerSlam 2024. Her reign eventually came to an end at The Biggest Party of The Summer, as Queen Nia Jax defeated her to claim the title.
