On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Sidney Crosby reached an impressive milestone of 1,600 career points. He achieved the feat after accumulating three points, including one goal and two assists.
Crosby became just the 10th player in NHL history to achieve the milestone and the fifth fastest to do so.
Sidney Crosby, in his 20th NHL season, has scored against every team in the league. He has amassed the most points against the New York Islanders, totaling 130 points.
Meanwhile, he has the fewest points against the Seattle Kraken, with just six. Since the Kraken and the Vegas Golden Knights are recent expansion teams, it makes sense that he has points against them.
However, when it comes to traditional teams, Crosby has scored the least against the Chicago Blackhawks, with only 14 points.
Sidney Crosby has amassed 100 or more points with three teams
Apart from the New York Islanders, Sidney Crosby has also accumulated at least 100 points against the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers.
Moreover, "Sid the Kid" has tallied at least 60 points against 11 teams in the NHL. After the Wednesday game, Crosby reflected on his milestone, expressing his gratitude for being part of an elite group of players.
"I think it's just an honor to be part of that group," Crosby said after practice Sunday.
"To be honest, I don't think about it a whole lot. Hopefully there's a lot of time to reflect after the fact. But it's just a huge honor to be in that group of guys."
Crosby also took a moment to acknowledge his long-time teammate Evgeni Malkin, who celebrated his 500th career goal in the same matchup.

Crosby now has 1602 career NHL points, all for the Pittsburgh Penguins, after being drafted first overall by them in 2005.
