Vancouver Canucks fans expressed frustration after the team’s third straight loss, a 4-1 defeat to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The game was Tampa Bay's home opener and was delayed due to Hurricane Milton. After the game, the Vancouver Canucks posted "Final" on X (formerly Twitter).

Fans quickly responded to share their thoughts on the loss.

"Scratch petterson or send him back to the SHL. Guy is completely useless," one fan wrote.
"Put Sprong and Garland together. Bench Pettersson. Guaranteed win," One fan commented.
"Well a positive takeaway from this game is Tocchet seemed to finally realize near the end of the game that Hogs and Garly are his 2 best wingers so far this season... so maybe they'll be in the top 6 next game? This team doesn't provide any defense in front of the net though," one fan pointed out the team's lack of defensive effort.

Take a look at some more reactions from fans on X.

"Tough loss. 4-1 is more lopsided then the actual game went but is what it is. Top 6 has been abysmal 5v5. Can't have that continue. PK looks great for what it's worth," a fan said.
"This team is too soft atm. We need more sandpaper and grit players…," a fan commented.
"First period wasn't great but only surrendered 1 goal. Outplayed them by a bit for the final 2 periods, unfortunately Vasi was on one tonight. If they keep playing like this though the goals will start coming," a fan tweeted.

Nikita Kucherov shines as Lightning defeat winless Vancouver Canucks 4-1

Nikita Kucherov continued his strong start to the season, scoring his fourth goal just under four minutes into the game. Kucherov, who had a hat trick in his last game, scored off a pass from Darren Raddysh.

Conor Garland scored the Vancouver Canucks' only goal on a power play in the third period. However, the Canucks missed key chances to close the gap. Andrei Vasilevskiy made several crucial saves for the Lightning, and Garland hit the post during a late-game stretch.

This loss leaves Vancouver winless through the first three games of the season. The Canucks, who won 50 games last season, have only scored eight goals in three games.

Brayden Point, Anthony Cirelli, and Brandon Hagel all scored for Tampa Bay, with each adding an assist as well. Despite off-ice challenges caused by the hurricane, the Lightning stayed focused and played well.

The Vancouver Canucks, still looking for their first win, will now face the Florida Panthers on the road. Meanwhile, the Lightning will host the Vegas Golden Knights next.
