The Edmonton Oilers are on the road to play the Nashville Predators on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET. Edmonton is coming off a 4-3 OT win against the Philadelphia Flyers for its first win of the season.

Ahead of the Oilers game on Thursday, here's what their projected lines are expected to look like.

Predicted Oilers lineup

Forwards

  • Leon Draisaitl - Connor McDavid - Zach Hyman
  • Vasily Podkolzin - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Viktor Arvidsson
  • Jeff Skinner - Adam Henrique - Connor Brown
  • Mattias Janmark - Derek Ryan - Corey Perry

The Oilers' offense found a spark against Philadelphia when Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid started playing together again.

"Through these games, there are opportunities to respond and I think we did that tonight," Adam Henrique said, via NHL.com. "We did a good job responding and just found a way to claw back and capitalize on a great late goal and get a huge goal in overtime. It's a big win for us."

Defenseman

  • Mattias Ekholm - Evan Bouchard
  • Darnell Nurse - Troy Stetcher
  • Brett Kulak - Ty Emberson

The Oilers' blue line has been a cause of concern this season as Edmonton continues to try different pairings to find the right chemistry.

Goalies

  • Stuart Skinner
  • Calvin Pickard

Skinner should be back in the net as he did return to form against Philadelphia after a disastrous start to begin the season.

Oilers vs Predators preview

Edmonton and Nashville is a pick'em while the over/under is set at 6.5 goals.

The Oilers picked up its first win against Philadelphia, which should give Edmonton some momentum going. Nashville, meanwhile, is winless this season as the Predators are coming off a 7-3 loss to Seattle.

The Predators made plenty of moves in the offseason and Nashville coach Andrew Brunette says getting chemistry has been tough.

“We’re trying to play fire-wagon hockey here,” a candid Brunette shared post-game, via NHL.com. “We’ve lost a little bit of our identity, of how we’re supposed to play. We’re kind of playing how we want to play a little bit. There’s a lot of summer hockey in our game .. we deserve to be where we are right now.”

Nashville is on home ice and should look to respond after a disappointing loss to Seattle. Edmonton, meanwhile, still has some concerns as this should be a competitive game, but look for the Preds to get their first win of the season.
