On July 17, 2024, Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jack Campbell and Ashley Sonnenberg got married at a resort in Cabo. Ashley shared a few snaps of her wedding photos on her Instagram stories while their photographer, Julieta Ame, posted a preview on her Instagram feed.
The first photo in Ame's post showed Ashley in a white bodycon dress while holding a bouquet of white flowers. The bridesmaids, clad in black, stood side by side as each of them held a similar bouquet.
Ashley’s bridal outfits were shown on a hanger in the second slide. This was followed by a photo of Ashley standing regally in her white gown. Lastly, in the fourth slide, Ashley and Jack were seen posing together on the stairs. In the said photo, Jack wore a black suit with a white inner shirt.

The couple shared moments from the joyous occasion through a series of Instagram stories. These clips featured custom martini glasses adorned with images of their beloved dogs, Huey and Millie, and captured intimate moments of the newlyweds by the sea.
Ashley's elegant Galia Lahav gown was a standout as she sported multiple looks throughout the day, including an off-shoulder wedding gown, a simple white dress and another white dress with her hair tied back.
Meanwhile, Jack looked dashing in a navy blue suit. One video showed them enjoying coconut water by the sea, with the caption "the Campbells."
Ashley, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, works as a Partner Account Leader at PointClickCare and graduated from Western University in 2019. The couple got engaged on June 24, 2022.
Their wedding comes after a two-year engagement and a challenging period for Jack's career. After signing a five-year deal with the Oilers in 2022, he struggled to secure his role as the starting goalie and eventually lost his position to Stuart Skinner.
When Jack was sent to the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors, Ashley moved to Bakersfield with their two dogs, while their two cats stayed in Edmonton with house sitters. On July 1, 2024, Jack signed a one-year deal with the Red Wings that's worth $775,000.
Despite the professional setbacks, Campbell's move to Detroit offers a fresh start and his wedding marks a new beginning for the couple.
