Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid have both been busy this offseason. From weddings and engagements to spending time with family and friends, there has been a lot going on this summer for the two Oilers superstars.
Recently, their partners, Celeste Desjardins and Lauren Kyle took a girls trip to the French Riviera, where they went site-seeing and enjoyed their time together at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat. Leon’s fiancée shared a series of pictures and clips on her Instagram story from their French getaway on Sunday.
In one of the clicks, Lauren and Celeste posed together at the balcony of their hotel room. Lauren wore a stunning sleeveless, shimmery yellow dress, while Celeste wore a white blazer with a deep neckline. They both sported golden earrings. Celeste carried an elegant black purse, while showing off her gorgeous engagement ring.
She posted a second candid picture of the two smiling widely on the same balcony. Celeste also shared a carousel of pictures of herself with the caption:
“J’adore la Côte d’Azure,” in French, which translates to “Loving the Riviera Coast” (according to Google translate)

Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle tied the knot earlier last month in a beautiful destination wedding in Ontario. Among the guests were their close friends, Leon Draisaitl and Celeste Desjardins.
After the official photos from the wedding were released, Celeste shared some personal pictures and videos from the event on her Instagram. At the wedding, Celeste looked stunning in a strapless white lace gown, while Leon wore a sharp black tuxedo with a matching bow tie. She also shared a clip of the couple slow dancing to the music.
“Our best friends are married!!!!!”, Celeste wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.
The photos included moments like Celeste and Liv Hall helping Lauren with her wedding gown, and another where all the bridesmaids posed together behind the bride. One fun picture showed Liv playing with a vintage bronze telephone with the other bridesmaids, while another snap showed Leon and Celeste sharing an intimate moment during the wedding dinner.
Along with Celeste, Cam McDavid’s partner Sarah Nanacsik, Liv Hall, Pat Maroon’s wife Francesca Maroon, Connor Schlichting's partner Sami Punzo, Sam Gagner’s wife Rachel Gagner were among Lauren Kyle’s bridesmaids.
After Lauren Kyle’s wedding, Draisaitl and Desjardins could be next up to tie the knot as Celeste had previously hinted at ‘venue hunting’ in France on Aug. 19 before setting off for their French Riviera trip.
