Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl’s partners, Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins, attended the Edmonton Oilers' preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks on Monday. Lauren shared a couple of moments from their night on Instagram.
She posted a picture of the arena with the two teams in action, and she added the caption:

She also posted a fun selfie with Celeste and another companion.
The Oilers won the game 3-2, with Leon Draisaitl scoring the shootout winner. This victory was their second in a row, improving their preseason record to 3-3. Corey Perry and Ben Gleason also scored for Edmonton, while Connor McDavid provided two assists. For the Canucks, Arshdeep Bains and Nate Smith scored, marking their third straight loss.
The first period had no goals. Edmonton had eight shots on Canucks goalie Kevin Lankinen, while Vancouver had seven against Stuart Skinner. The deadlock broke in the second period when Kiefer Sherwood assisted Bains on a power-play goal.
The Oilers tried to respond, but Perry missed a breakaway chance. The Canucks had a slight lead in the third period. However, Perry tied the game, and Gleason scored to put the Oilers ahead with a strong shot, assisted by McDavid.
Vancouver equalized with Smith’s redirection, sending the game to overtime. In a tense finish, Draisaitl stopped a Canucks goal.

On September 22, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl enjoyed a double date with their partners, Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins. They attended an Edmonton Elks CFL game at Commonwealth Stadium. The outing was a nice break for the Edmonton Oilers players.
Lauren shared stories on Instagram about the evening, sharing the fun atmosphere. One story included a selfie of the couples. The CFL also posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the hockey stars at the game.
Draisaitl announced his engagement to Celeste on July 11. The couple hard-launched their relationship back in 2018.
Meanwhile, McDavid married Lauren on July 27 in Ontario. They were engaged last year and have been together since 2016.
