Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl continue to pair up on and off the ice. On Sunday, the Oilers superstars went to enjoy the Canadian Rodeo with their partners Lauren Kyle and Celeste Desjardins.
Connor McDavid’s wife Lauren Kyle posted a series of pictures and clips from the night on Instagram stories. It was the last day of the 50th Canadian Finals Rodeo at Edmonton, with cowboys and cowgirls contesting for the Canadian Championship Titles.
The first image was a snap taken from the gallery as the crowd watched the Steer Wrestling event at Rogers Place. Steer wrestling is a rodeo event in which a rider, known as a bulldogger,"chases a steer on horseback, leaps off the horse onto the steer and then wrestles it to the ground by grabbing its horns.
She then posted a clip of a rodeo performer with a lasso. The other two pictures were behind-the-scenes close-ups of two beautifully saddled gray and brown horses waiting backstage.
It isn’t the only double date Connor McDavid and Leon Draisatl went to with their partners. In late September, the superstar duo attended the Edmonton Elk’s CFL game at the Commonwealth Stadium with Lauren and Celeste.

Both McDavid and Draistal had a summer to remember this offseason. For Connor McDavid, this summer was one “for the books,” as he tied the knot with his longtime partner Lauren Kyle. Their wedding took place in Muskoka, and McDavid shared photos from the celebration on Instagram.
The pictures included a beautiful black-and-white shot with his groomsmen in classic tuxedos, the wedding party posing together and fun moments from the rehearsal dinner. Along with celebrating his wedding, McDavid attended Warren Foegele’s engagement party and spent quality time with family.
Leon Draisaitl also had a summer to remember. He proposed to his girlfriend Celeste Desjardins in a romantic setting by the coast in Mallorca, Spain. Draisaitl also posted a series of photos, showing his proposal, as well as candid moments from McDavid’s wedding where he served as a groomsman.
Leon also celebrated his sister Kim’s wedding to German field hockey player Niklas Wellen. Draisaitl shared pictures of his family during the wedding, including his father, Peter Draisatl walking Kim down the aisle.
This summer, Draisaitl signed a massive eight-year contract extension with the Oilers. His fiancee Celeste Desjardins expressed her pride and excitement in an Instagram post for their next chapter in Edmonton.
