Brad Marchand on Boston Bruins' 2-1 OT loss to Utah Hockey Club

Following the OT loss, Bruins captain Brad Marchand talked about the areas where the team needs to improve.

Marchand believed that the Bruins' were careless in their puck plays.

“It’s really about smarter puck play," Marchand said via the Boston Herald . "We turned a lot of pucks over at the blue lines or in the neutral zone and they reloaded and kind of came at us with speed."

He further pointed out that Boston should be more strategic in its puck play by executing plays along the boards and pushing the puck into the attacking zone.

This strategy could allow the Bruins to spend time in Utah's territory and put pressure on their forwards to focus on defending near the goal area.

The Boston Bruins face the Nashville Predators next on Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena.
