Both teams lit up the scoreboard with four goals apiece, bringing the score to a dramatic 5-5, forcing overtime. Sidney Crosby scored 1:38 into OT to emerge as the winner for the Pittsburgh Penguins in an 11-goal thriller.

Sidney Crosby & Evgeni Malkin achieve career milestones with the Pittsburgh Penguins

It was a historic night for the Pittsburgh Penguins, as both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin reached significant milestones at PPG Paints Arena.

Crosby became the 10th player in NHL history to surpass 1.600 career points, finishing the game with 1,602 points, contributing one goal and two assists.

Meanwhile, Evgeni Malkin scored his 500th NHL goal, making him the 48th player to reach this milestone. He also picked up three assists against the Sabres.

Pittsburgh hosts the Carolina Hurricanes at home on Friday. The puck drop for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
