On Friday, NHL fans on Reddit reacted strongly to The Athletic’s goaltending rankings. The rankings show each team's current and future goaltending prospects and cap space.

Nashville, Dallas, and Buffalo are top-ranked for current goaltending. For future outlooks, Nashville, Buffalo and Montreal lead.

You can only play one goalie at a time, so if your team is clearly set for the next 10 years, why would future prospects even matter?
