Leon Draisaitl shared his thoughts on the Edmonton Oilers' rough start to the season as they are winless in three games. Draisaitl has skated in all three matches so far and has one goal and one point. His plus-minus rating is -4 which shows some defensive issues for the team.

While talking to the media on Tuesday, Draisaitl said that small details are important.

"It’s all important, especially when you're in a bit of a funk." Draisaitl said, "You know, you got to play from your own and out. You can't start in the offensive zone. Predict like you're scoring six goals and then we'll take care of anything else after that, you know. We got to keep it at one or two. And most nights, I'm pretty confident that our group will score more goals than two or three."

In their last game, the Calgary Flames beat the Oilers as Rasmus Andersson scored one goal and had two assists. The Flames improved to 3-0-0. The Oilers have been outscored 15-3 in their first three home games.

Jeff Skinner scored the Oilers' only goal. Connor McDavid assisted on it which marked his 15th assist on a player’s first NHL goal — second-most in franchise history.

The Oilers had two goals called back due to interference and offside calls. Despite giving up five power-play goals in their first two games, the Oilers held the Flames scoreless on three power-play chances.

Leon Draisaitl is on the top line with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman

To address his team's early struggles, Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch has made changes to the line combinations for their upcoming game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Leon Draisaitl will now play on the top line with Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will center the second line with Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson on his wings. Jeff Skinner has been moved to the third line with Adam Henrique and Connor Brown while the fourth line which features Mattias Janmark, Derek Ryan and Corey Perry will remain the same.

The Oilers were considered favorites for the Stanley Cup this season. However, they have lost so far to the Winnipeg Jets (6-0), Chicago Blackhawks (5-2) and the Calgary Flames (4-1).

By placing Leon Draisaitl and McDavid together again, it will be interesting to see if it will boost the Oilers' offense.
