Jannik Sinner is reportedly on the verge of hiring Marco Panichi, the former fitness coach of Novak Djokovic, after severing ties with his previous fitness trainer, Umberto Ferrara, and physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi, following the doping controversy.

It was revealed last month that the Italian tennis star had failed two drug tests in March this year for the steroid Clostebol. While initially suspended, Sinner successfully appealed both cases, allowing him to continue playing as the tribunal reviewed the situation.

The ITIA accepted Sinner's argument that the steroid entered his system accidentally through Naldi, who had used an over-the-counter spray containing Clostebol to treat his injury.

Following this, Sinner dismissed both Ferrara and Naldi and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian tennis star is considering working with Marco Panichi as his new fitness coach. Panichi had previously worked alongside Djokovic for nearly eight years, with their partnership ending in April this year.

Andy Roddick mocks Donald Trump's assertion of ending Russia-Ukraine war

Andy Roddick sarcastically mocked former President Donald Trump's claims about his potential to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war by humorously comparing it to his own narrow defeat against Roger Federer in the 2009 Wimbledon final.

During a debate with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, Trump had claimed he could settle the conflict before even taking office by mediating between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I want this war to stop," Trump said. "That's a war that is dying to get settled. I will get it settled before I even become president. If I win, when I'm president elect and what I'll do is, I'll speak to one, I'll speak to the other. I'll get them [Zelenskyy and Putin] together. That war would have never happened," Trump said.

The former American tennis star expressed his skepticism toward Trump's statements by bringing up his 5-7, 7-6(6), 7-6(5), 3-6, 16-14 defeat to Federer, using it to underscore his doubt about Trump's ability to achieve such a diplomatic feat.

"Wimbledon finals 2009 would have never happened if I was there ……. Never woulda happened," Andy Roddick posted on X.
