John McEnroe and Daniil Medvedev recently shared the screen in an advertisement for Pepperstone. In the ad, Medvedev hilariously dressed up in McEnroe's vintage look.

The campaign from Pepperstone brought together players from two different eras, creating a fun dynamic between the two. The video showed Medvedev practicing on the court, just as the American interjects to tell him that he was doing it wrong.

"Hey hey Daniil you are doing it all wrong," McEnroe says.
"I am one of the best in the world," Medvedev replies.
"Exactly, ONE OF, but I have got an idea to make you no. 1."

Medvedev then channels his inner McEnroe and dresses like him - donning shorts, and a red headband. He also tries playing with a vintage racquet. The commercial ends on a hilarious note:

"I feel ridiculous," says Medvedev
"What do you mean?" McEnroe asks
"I am out." the ad ends

Daniil Medvedev is excited to play at the upcoming Paris Olympics and claimed that participating was an easy decision, especially since enjoyed his time in Tokyo four years ago.

"Very easy decision. In Tokyo, I loved the atmosphere. I loved being there, playing there. It's going to be even different than Paris because Tokyo was [during] COVID, so no people," Medvedev said.

The World No. 5 said even though it might be better for his career to get a headstart on the hardcourt swing, he would be elated to play in the Olympics.

"I know that if I'm thinking strictly about my personal career, [it would be ] better to go to Canada, prepare for hardcourts, etc. "But when I'm 40, if I can say I played in the Tokyo Olympics, Paris Olympics, Los Angeles Olympics, I had a lot of fun in my life, my career, I'm gonna be happy," he said.

Medvedev stated that he was going to prepare a lot for doubles and mixed doubles as he believed that he had a better chance of winning a medal in those two disciplines rather than in singles.

"I'm gonna prepare a lot in doubles and mixed doubles because I do believe I have more chances there than in Roland Garros singles," he said.

Medvedev will partner with Roman Safiullin for the doubles at the Olympics.
