Jannik Sinner secured a massive $6 million in prize money after defeating arch-rival Carlos Alcaraz in an electrifying three-set final at the inaugural 2024 Six Kings Slam in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. To put that in context, that is twice the amount awarded to the winners of both the Australian Open and the French Open, and nearly $2 million more than the winner's prize at Wimbledon and the US Open.
He earned $3.15 million at the Australian Open and $3.6 million in New York, a total of $12,032,935 for the year. His $6 million win in Riyadh accounts for nearly 50% of his entire earnings this year.
Losing finalist Alcaraz, who spent 291 minutes on court across his three matches at the Six Kings Slam, earned $1.5 million. Alcaraz had previously won €2.4 million for his triumph in Paris and £2.7 million at Wimbledon, and a total of $9,036,407 earned this year. The $1.5 million prize from Riyadh is about one-eighth of his total prize money for the year.
