Tennis fans have once again expressed their disgust towards Nick Kyrgios, this time for trying to make fun of rising Argentine star Sebastian Baez.

Journalist Jose Morgado praised 22-year-old Baez for defeating Italy's Luciano Darderi in straight sets in the second round of the ongoing Cordoba Open. The fourth-seeded player received a bye in the first round. Going through a rough patch for some time now, the World No. 47 registered his first win of the season and second in his last 19 matches.

World No. 20 Kyrgios, who is recovering from a knee injury, reacted to the journalist's tweet and wrote "lol" -- which did not, understandably, go down well with the fans.

The 27-year-old Aussie recently pled guilty in a domestic abuse case against his ex-girlfriend but avoided conviction, and also cited his mental health issues in court during the case.

Fans called him out for his double standards on something as important as mental health, saying that Kyrgios was poking fun at younger players after trying to get his case dismissed on similar grounds.

"Maybe it's just me, but if I'd recently pled guilty to assaulting an ex-girlfriend, I wouldn't be spending my time on Twitter trying to bully hard-working players like Baez. Maybe he'll pull the mental health card again? Who knows," a fan tweeted.
"Well, he's been accepted with open arms, doesn't give a f*ck. If I were NK, I'd be so embarrassed to show my face/criticize good people who are giving it all? But since he's "good for tennis", we ignore his shitty actions. Baez is a good kid, Kyrgios is a disrespectful pos," a user wrote.
"You talking about mental health for then to go on to make fun of players far less succesfull than you and much lower ranked than you is so pathetic," another tweet read.

Enroute to reaching the final, Nick Kyrgios defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-7(2), 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(7) in the third round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. The match was so controversial that the two players have been taking potshots at each other till now. A few days ago, the Greek once again questioned the eventual runner-up's behavior during the match, labeling him a "clown."

Kyrgios responded by sharing a photograph of the winning moment at SW19, calling Tsitsipas "embarrassing" for continuing to talk about the incident after losing against him.

"Embarrassing quote whilst we all look at the scoreboard hahaha," Nick Krygios wrote.
