Serena Williams highlights her love for capes and daughter Olympia in latest IG post

Serena Williams may be far from the tennis courts at the minute, but she continues to turn heads off it thanks to her eclectic fashion sense. In a recent Instagram post, Williams posed with daughter Olympia while dressed in a sublime dress with a cape.

The 23-time Major champion captioned her post with a confession of her love for daughter Olympia and also of capes.

"To know me is to know I love @olympiaohanian and capes," Serena Williams wrote.

The post consists of three additional images of the tennis legend posing alone for the shutter. In the first of these three images, Williams can be seen standing on a platform while making a sign with her hands.

In the next one, the American takes off her cape and poses while slinging it over her shoulders. The final image is of the 40-year-old from closer angles, this time reunited with her cape.

The post has garnered a humongous amount of interactions at the time of writing. More than 175,000 users have liked the post, while nearly 1,500 people have commented on it.

Interestingly, one chain of comments made a funny revelation - Serena had initially tagged the wrong account while trying to tag daughter Olympia's Instagram account.

This post is also the American's most-liked photographic post on Instagram in two weeks. Williams, her husband Alexia, and daughter Olympia posed for the Gucci fashion show on 25 February, which has garnered just above 250,000 likes so far.

However, the rate at which Williams' post with Olympia and her cape dress is gathering traction, it is expected to supersede that figure.

Serena Williams missing in action at Indian Wells 2022

Serena Williams, a two-time champion at Indian Wells, isn't playing in the ongoing edition due to injury. The American hurt her leg at Wimbledon last year and has been sidelined since. Her prolonged absence from the tour has seen her rankings plummet to 236th.

Indian Wells is an event that has bittersweet memories for both Serena and her sister Venus Williams. While both have fared well at the event, they boycotted it for over a decade after being subject to racist-charged boos during the 2001 edition of the event.
