Rafael Nadal and Nicolas Jarry's wives and sons recently met each other ahead of the 2024 Indian Wells. They posed together, all smiles, capturing a heartwarming moment.

Nadal and Jarry are both geared up to begin their campaign at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament, scheduled from March 6 to March 17. Just three days ago, the Spaniard also engaged in an all-Spanish clash with Carlos Alcaraz at the Netflix Slam, an exhibition event held in Las Vegas.

In the meantime, Nadal's wife, Maria Francisca Perello and Jarry's wife, Laura Urruti, enjoyed some quality time together with their baby sons at Indian Wells. Urruti later shared a selfie of them in her Instagram Stories, writing

The 2024 Indian Wells will mark Rafael Nadal's return to the ATP Tour after being sidelined by a minor hip injury during the Brisbane International in January, which subsequently led to his withdrawal from the Australian Open.

The former World No. 1 has won the first leg of the Sunshine Double three times in 2007, 2009 and 2013. However, his quest for a fourth title appears challenging, as he faces Milos Raonic in the opening round on March 8, with a potential second-round matchup against Holger Rune awaiting him if he advances.

If Nadal manages to defeat Rune, he could face either Denis Shapovalov or Lorenzo Musetti in the third round, followed by a fourth-round matchup against either Taylor Fritz or Sebastian Baez.

In the quarterfinals, the 22-time Grand Slam champion might encounter Daniil Medvedev or Sebastian Korda, setting up a potential superstar clash with Novak Djokovic in the semifinals. The championship match could see him facing off against Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz.

Rafael Nadal told the press ahead of his 2024 Indian Wells campaign that he was not ready to say goodbye to tennis just yet.

"I am not saying goodbye because [yet], then I would say that I am not playing anymore," Nadal said (via Europe Press). "I would like to say goodbye well, being competitive and enjoying myself on the court. Whether that can be or not, time will tell."

The Spaniard added that he aims to compete at the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in California first and then hopes to participate in the Monte-Carlo Masters set to begin on April 14.

"At the moment, I am considering playing in Indian Wells. I would love to play in Monte Carlo," Nadal said.
"At this point in my career, I have to analyze how I am at every moment, the feelings I have and where I most want to play. I want to do the things that I really want to do. I want to be happy," he added.
