Martina Navratilova bumped into the newly crowned Stanley Cup Champions, the Florida Panthers when she took her wife Julia out to celebrate her 52nd birthday. The couple hung out with the captain Aleksander Barkov and the other members and also got to drink beer from the prestigious cup.

After a heartbreaking defeat to the Vegas Golden Knights in the Stanley Cup last year, it was redemption for the Florida Panthers who defeated the Edmonton Oilers in the final to win their inaugural cup since the inception of their franchise 30 years back.

The Panthers, nicknamed the Cats, topped the Atlantic Division and defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Boston Bruins, and the New York Rangers to clinch the Eastern Conference. After taking a strong 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final against the Oilers in the best-of-seven series, they were just one win away from victory. However, the Oilers bounced back to level the series 3-3.

The Cats defeated the Oilers 2-1 in Game 7 to win the Stanley Cup which was presented to their captain Aleksander Barkov, the first Finnish captain in history to lift the cup.

Not only that, but Navratilova also participated in the famous tradition of drinking beer from the cup and was helped by the players including Matthew Tkachuk who called the American "the biggest legend".
