Madison Keys has officially called time on her 2024 season, but the end of her campaign comes with exciting personal news. Keys shared her plans, including tying the knot with her longtime boyfriend and coach, Bjorn Fratangelo.

Keys ended her season following an early exit at the 2024 Wuhan Open, where she lost a closely fought battle to ninth seed Beatriz Haddad Maia. In the first round, Keys was edged out 7-6(7), 6-2, signaling an earlier-than-expected conclusion to her tournament run.

However, her announcement isn’t just about tennis. As she reflected on the season and expressed gratitude for her team and supporters, she also dropped a heartfelt mention of her wedding plans with Fratangelo, whom she’s been with since 2017 and got engaged in March 2023.

On 15 October, Keys shared her 2024 reflections on Instagram, posting a series of photos chronicling her year on tour. In a heartfelt caption, she thanked her team and friends for their support throughout the season and expressed her enthusiasm for what’s to come.

"Thanks to my team and friends for making the year more fun. Time for a little offseason but then I’ll be back and can’t wait to do it all over again! Let’s get married @bjornfrat," Keys wrote.

Fratangelo, a former junior champion, claimed the boys' singles title at the 2011 French Open and reached a career-high ATP ranking of 99. The two even partnered up for a mixed doubles event at the 2021 US Open, although they were knocked out in the first round by Ellen Perez and Marcelo Demoliner.

Keys also made significant runs at several prestigious tournaments, reaching the semifinals at the Mutua Madrid Open and the Rothesay International. Additionally, she also made the quarterfinal at the Italian Open, where she lost 1-6, 3-6 to top seed Iga Swiatek.
