Top seed and World No.1 Jannik Sinner will take on 25th seed Jack Draper in the semi-final clash at the 2024 US Open. It will be the second meeting between the two, with the the Brit beating the Italian 7-6(6), 7-6(2) in the first round of the Queen's Club Championships in 2021.
Sinner came under the shadow of a doping controversy ahead of the US Open ad he did not have the strongest of starts, having dropped the first set in his tournament opener against Mackenzie McDonald. However, he recovered quickly, won the match in four sets, and then followed it up with straight-set victories over Alex Michelsen, Christopher O'Connell, and 14th seed Tommy Paul in the subsequent rounds.
Sinner faced off against fifth seed Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals, which was the duo's third match in Majors this year, after their matches at the Australian Open and Wimbledon. In a lopsided game, the Italian prevailed in four sets, winning the match 6-2, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4.
Jack Draper has had a brilliant run in New York this year and hasn't dropped a single set en route to his maiden Grand Slam semifinal. The 25th seed opened his campaign with a win via retirement against Zhang Zhizhen. On his way to the quarterfinals, Draper defeated Facundo Diaz Acosta, Botic van de Zandschulp, and Tomas Machac in straight sets.

Whoever out of Jannik Sinner or Jack Draper wins, will take on either 12th seed Taylor Fritz or 20th seed Frances Tiafoe in the US Open final.
